This Sunday is the homeless meal, and we are hoping for a larger turnout this month!
We will be ready this Sunday for another homeless meal. Our numbers have neen hurt by the Chronavirus boogie man, but we are hoping for about 150 homeless we can pamper.
We will still be testing for a fever, to keep everyone safe. We will still feed them but they will be pulled out of line first.
We have wind damage to one of our canopies, so we will be trying to use a couple of smaller units for shade until we can rebuild the big one.
The one on the left was damaged on two of the six posts. A volunteer overtightened the straps, which didn't allow any flex, so a gust took it down.
We had just under a hundred fed last month, but they were happy, and they ate very well!
One benefit last momth, was we had more time to talk to our people. I must admit, I enjoyed that myself!
It also allowed us to send a lot of food with them, which does more good! They were able to top off all their drink containers too, since we had plenty.
It will be hot, about 95 °F or around 37°C, so we will be pushing fluids! And sweating like a pig....
We will be making about 50 gallons of food this time. Prayers are appreciated!

I rely on them heavily. Some cook food and fill a roaster with food and that really helps! When I was cooking everything here, I had to start cooking Saturday afternoon, and cook all night; now I get some sleep. I have beef roasts slow cooking right now for the stew tomorrow. They Love that!

We made it today! They all ate well, and we had enough food for everyone. The watermelon was a big hit today!
My volunteers were impressive today too, I think they could have fed without my help. I'm proud of them....
