The homestead always delivers, working on that today was no exception; I had visitors!
Since the quail aren't ready to take on the ticks yet, I sprayed the entire property with 80 gallons of tick spray!
I also mowed the entire property, and was watched by the locals.
These does watched me for over an hour. I was surprised, because of the two fawns with them. Very cute, and curious, LOL! No hunting pressure here....
There was one doe, who watched me from the East, right up my driveway for most if the time I was there. I bet she csme and checked to see if I messed up anything as soon as I left.
Another one was shy, and hid by the tree line. The rest were pretty fearless. She was smaller, but a pretty thing.
I even stuck my mug in this one, so you could tell I took th ed pictures, LOL!
We saw 5 deer, and two fawns in about 90 minutes. This is rapidly becoming my favorite place, it already feels like home!
We also layed out the pad for the travel trailer.
Hope to get the time to move it next week!
Very good progress.
We had good supervisors! But I felt we made decent progress today too.

It's great to see deer in nature!
I plan to put out a salt block for them, as soon as I can make a good way to protect the salt block.
She is looking forward to watching them raise these fawns! They will be safe there, I will hunt deer elsewhere....

The 2 middle photos aren't loading, at least on my computer. I'm sure the deer were stunned, never seen anything like it. lol.
I blocked those in Texas, at the request of the deer, ROFLOL! Sorry, they should work. They are just more deer pictures. One watched me from just across the road up my driveway for about an hour. Very curious deer, LOL!
I will put out a salt block for them. They will be fun for Debbie to watch, once we get moved out there!

You ain't gonna shoot those deer are you?
Hmmmm...Not unless I get hungry, ROFLOL!
:)>
ha! well, I guess if it was in a collapse of society situation but then maybe other people would shoot them first.
There are hundreds locally (thousands of acres of Corp land), seven seem to like the homestead best. I agree with them, nice place to live....
