One of the greatest treasures in life is a quiet place, where a person can recharge!

If you find a nice quiet place where you can go to recharge your batteries. If you're especially lucky sometimes you can find more than one. Here is one of my favorites, and there are geese on this pond that also help with the disconnect!

Once in awhile what I come here actually carry a fishing pole, and that even less often; I actually use that pole, LOL!

There is a weather-worn bench here that is quite comfortable. I hope you find is nice a place somewhere close to you.

There are enough fish in this pond that there's no problem with mosquitoes. It's also in a creek with running water year long, so it always smells real nice. They had problems with beavers about three years ago but they'd trapped them out, every pair the dam! You can see by the trees it's cool in the summer it's off the beaten path so it's quiet.

This is my new quiet place about a mile from the homestead on Keystone Lake.

I have to bring my own chair here but this is a very quiet fishing spot. I intend to spend a lot more time here soon!

I just realized the most of my favorite places to recharge are close to water. I hadn't even thought about that before, but it touches my soul!

I hope you enjoyed my little photo tour, be blessed!

They call me too, come on up and we'll make a fire on that beach and grill the fish we catch. At night, the firelight will bring in the fish; it will be Fun!

It is the universal reset to the human soul; and as such, these places are treasures. Guard, and share them; and share peace and contentment!

Glad you found me oh, I guess it didn't hide well enough, LOL!

The last picture is about a mile from the new Homestead on Keystone Lake. It's four to five hundred thousand surface acres of water so I'll be able to fish there pretty effectively. So when you come we'll take the pontoon boat out on the lake and see if we get some of those 30 lb stripers that are out there. Are we could fish down deep and get some big catfish but they're not clean fish, so I don't need them and you probably don't either.

Fishing is also one of my favorite relaxing pastimes. For me it is running water/creek fishing.

The very top photo is a pond that was formed by damming a creek so it stay is real nice because it runs all the time.

The last photograph is the Keystone Lake it is just basically an overgrown Creek, LOL! Half a million surface acres of water, so it's real good fishing. Since it's only a mile from the homestead I plan to rely on that heavily if things do fall apart! But, it's also very quiet there and those trees in the picture are nice shade for fishing under. The bottom in front of the trees is sand of the gentle slope goes out quite a ways before it gets deep. The big fish come in there to eat the minnows so it never gets boring.

Just to the left in this picture is one of the small feeder Creeks that feeds Keystone Lake; it's a v-shaped bay that's about half to 1 acre depending on how high the water is. That's where I plan to do my bank fishing for perch!

That looks nice. I was going to ask where that was but I saw on your blog that you are from Oklahoma. I have a few cousins down there. I only visited once years ago but the fishing was good.

Not as good as the fishing up there in Canada last time I was there, LOL! But it is pretty good fishing, and there are some pretty good-sized fish in that Lake. The pond is mainly small stuff, but I'm really go there for the quiet; but I did drown the worm in it from time to time. Trotlines and yo-yos in the lake are good ways fish and we also use jug lines. I have taken 40 pound fish out that way, but a hook is more restful.

I plan to pressure can some of the fish for storage. I also would like to learn how to smoke them well, and how to pickle some! So many skills yet to learn, I hope we have time.

In the meantime I'll keep wetting the hook and relaxing, hopefully for a full recharge.

Be safe!
