I had a Dachshund Diva come visit last year.

I rescue Dachshunds, but the most unusual rescue was more of a vacation visit.

I heard barking at my front door, which usually means that I had a dog escape from my fence. When I opened the door, there was a dachshund there; just not one of mine! She sized me up from a safe distance, and when Willie greeted her, she decided to give this hotel a try.

I could rell she was a Diva right off, so I called her Princess. She was pleased that I recognized royalty:

Some one had done a good job spoiling her, LOL! Once sge came in, she wanted food and a warm lap. Then she jumped up on the bed, and layed in the center (her 'due' adoration) for petting.

She obviously knew I had dachshunds with her nose, and barked so she could decide if I was okay or not, ROFLOL!

When she got on my lap, she had to be higher than all the other dogs! The other dog here is Lilly, and she was hard to get higher up over. She is a little bit of a Diva too, LOL!

She vacationed here, for about 3 months, but one day, I gave her needed medicine. She was offended, that I gave her medicine without asking nicely first.

Being the Diva she is, the next time she went outside, she left for the next dachshund hotel....

Yes, she was a real Princess, and KNEW it, LOL! She was insulted by the medicine I gave her, and Left to 'allow' someone else to cater to her every need....

Maybe she didn't like the attention being divided up among the other ones. Some females are like that. lol.
