The Chestnut Mandibled Toucan is a wonderful, almost unbelievable being of a bird. It is the largest toucan of Central America. Every siting is like stepping into a fairytale world somehow. It is just too amazing. They look too big and heavy to fly almost as they flap by, yet they maneuver meticulously through the dense rainforest and alight perfectly on favorite revisited branches in the upper story of the rainforest. This colourful frugivore delicately and precisely pick fruit and nuts from the trees at the end of their bills to then toss them into the air then nimbly catch and swallow their food. It’s an extraordinary sight to behold.
