A Seasonal Tribute: The Beautiful Landscapes of Leaves!
Continuing with the whole photographic theme, I can't go through the change of seasons without marveling at the amazing color display put on by our trees!
It's one of those things may of us love and appreciate — on some level — but perhaps don't actually stop and take a closer look at.

Of course, there are millions of photos of beautiful trees and landscapes filled with fall color, but let's take a closer look. A much closer look... getting up to where the individual leaves become like tiny landscapes; art in their own individual ways.

I love the different textures in the above shot.

There are often little "surprises" when you get close enough to your subject matter. In this case, the stem of the leaf has been visited by either a tiny spider, or perhaps some caterpillar trailing a little bit of silk.
These are things we just don't see, unless it is through the camera's lens.
In black-and-white, some of these images start to look outright alien. What exactly are we looking at?
Whereas I do like the B&W, something is lost a bit because (at least for me) so much of the joy of looking at the leaves comes from their myriad bright colors.
Thanks for taking a moment look at this tiny corner of our natural world!
