Golden Hour: captivating sunset over Prague Castle

Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

As usually on Sunday, I am here to brighten up the rest of your weekend with another photo from my Golden Hour series. This time around, I will take you to Prague, the capital city of my Czech homeland.

I know this shot would probably be a better fit for the Blue Hour Photography that was also hosted here on Steem some time ago but this challenge is no longer available so I am submitting this entry to the Golden Hour ;)

What you can see in the image is one of the most famous sights of Prague as well as the whole country - a panoramic view of the Prague Castle taken from the Smetana Embankment in the central part of the city. I took it a couple of weeks ago.

With a total area of almost 70,000 sq m (750,000 sq ft), the Prague Castle is known to be the largest ancient castle in the world. A former seat of ancient kings of Bohemia and even Roman emperors, the castle is now the official seat of the Czech President.

It is interesting that you can shoot this panorama over and over again from the same distance and point of view and yet it will always be different and interesting. The genius loci of this place is amazing.

Je zajímavé, že tohle panorama můžeš fotit stále dokola ze stejné vzdálenosti a úhlu pohledu a přesto bude pokaždé jiné a zajímavé. Genius loci tohoto místa je úžasný.
