Exposing photography: Change of perception #1

avatar

But what is wrong with this girl? In her first post she told us that she is passionate about technology and writing, but today she gives us a photography post! Yes, I don't understand myself many times either, I am what my mother calls "peculiar" in the way I like to see the world, not as I see it, but as I would like to see it.

That is precisely what I want to show you today, the different nuances that different simple things could take when they suffer small changes of perception, after all, it is impossible for all of us to see the same things in equal ways, similar perhaps, equal I don't think so. The colors, for example, belong to that wide spectrum of things that no one perceives totally the same way, and today I want to give you a set of photographs (taken and edited by me) where we see how a little color and saturation changes can change the perception of what we see.

When we take something as simple as the back of an old wall and put it a little in the foreground highlighting some interesting details that make us know more about what is behind the image we will undoubtedly get a somewhat melancholic photograph about the deterioration of things, a photograph where we can appreciate the process of decomposition and corrosion of metal and cement, of course, photos 1 and 3 have that touch of color that I told you, where we can see the cool change that has an image when the colors are exchanged.

Here is another example of what time, accumulation of dirt and especially a little editing can do with a photograph, at first sight without seeing the original image (2) we might think it is the edited photograph of a faint shadow or some representative figure, but the truth is a simple column of old plastic with a notable stain of dirt generated from oil residues and other things. Finally another great proof of what the perception of colors and shading games can do to a photograph, simple editions made by a rookie that offers a peculiar and even refreshing change to images that surely we would never have noticed.
