Vienna waits for you!

Good evening, Steemit! It’s Thursday and that means it’s Family Fun Day at the @kommienezuspadt household. Typically, I’d be packing up my bag and heading for @caffetto. It feels a little weird not doing that, I admit. Instead, @vermillionfox, @guthrie and I will be doing some chores, then settling in for a viewing party of The Matrix: Reloaded. Later tonight, once he’s in bed, I’ll be going out to meet @tarotbyfergus for a reading, and to pick up recording equipment. Minnesota is in a winter storm warning for tomorrow, so if we’re stuck here, I’d like to shoot some prints for my Etsy store.

I’m back on the Australia/New Zealand work flow right now, and today, earlier than usual, I’m sharing new work with Vienna De Havilland, an edgy alternative pinup from Christchurch. As was the case with all my shoots in New Zealand, hair and make-up was done by my good friend, Miss Victory Violet. We shot in a stunning space called OGB. That stands for Old Government Building. From what I understand, after the earthquakes in Christchurch in 2011, the building was abandoned for a new government center. It was remodeled in to swanky hotels, shops and bars, but much of the original architecture remained.

Vienna was a pleasure to work with. Initially, she seemed a bit nervous, which I can understand. The OGB alone was somewhat intimating even for me. Miss Victory Violet is sort of a pinup legend, especially in New Zealand. She relaxed and as I got to talk with her, she told me about her musical background. We even shot a series of photos with her cello, which I’ll include in the final set of images. With such a breathtaking space, the world class hair and make-up and beautiful wardrobe choices by Vienna, we captures dozens of five star images. It’s been tough to pick favorites because they’re all so good.

This is the second set of photos I’ll be returning to Vienna, with one last set to come in the next week or two. I’m really trying to finish everything from both Australia and New Zealand before the end of January. I’ve been so fortunate that I haven’t needed to travel since August. I’m loving every minute of it, and I’m trying to use this time to catch up on the endless amount of editing I still owe to very patient clients.
