Hey, Steemit! I’m dipping in and out of blogging these last few days. There’s a lot going on. I make my living in such a weird way. Sometimes I work for 14 hours straight, editing in marathon sessions at @caffetto. Other days, I don’t sit in front of my computer at all. Still, other days, I edit for 30 minutes, then an hour half a day later, then 40 minutes, then nothing. There’s not much of a routine. Most of the other things in my life inform when I can sit and edit, and then photography I do get to edit is usually what I share in my Steemit blogs.

So, tonight I was able to get home around 8:00p.m. and get back to it after @guthrie went to bed. I’ve been cutting through a lot of the New Zealand and Australia work I still owe, but one shoot from Viva Las Vegas last year, did manage to slip through the cracks. A beautiful New York pinup named Danielle. I thought I’d finished her a month or two ago, but stumbled across our shoot and realized I was three edits short of completing her shoot. I committed to finishing her, and relished it as wrapping up outstanding work has been my new favorite thing.

We shot at The Artisan Hotel in Las Vegas. My favorite space in that city. Danielle had two outfits, both black, which perfectly complimented the decor and esthetic of the hotel […which was hosting a Vampire Ball that weekend]. Danielle did seem nervous, but we talked things through and took our time. I do direct a lot when I’m shooting, and can suggest poses. That’s usually a big help for first time models or models with only some experience. The wardrobe was really sexy, the lighting is something I’ve perfected in The Artisan, and I love how these last photos of Danielle turned out.

So that’s it for my shoot with Danielle. I’m hoping I’ll run in to her during Viva Las Vegas this year. She was a lot of fun. These next few days are going to get really busy, and I’m not sure how many blog posts I’ll be able to make. @ghostfish and I have some @coppercoins work we have to get done, but my mom, @bonni, and stepdad, will be flying in to visit for a week this Thursday.
