On this gray and rainy Friday, which really does not suit the end of December and the beginning of winter, I found a few snapshots of my last photo trips in the winterly autumn forest.

An diesem grauen und verregneten Freitag, der wirklich nicht zu Ende Dezember und dem Winterbeginn passt, habe ich noch ein paar Schnappschüsse von meinen letzten Fototrips in den winterlichen Herbstwald gefunden.

The photo above was taken a few days after the next photos. It snowed lightly that day, but unfortunately too little to cover up the mess on the forest ground.

In places the thick clouds loosened and showed a pale blue sky over the frosty trees.

Stellenweise lockerte die dichte Bewölkung auf und zeigte einen blassblauen Himmel über den frostigen Bäumen.

Es ist zwar schon fast Winter und Schnee war auch schon da, aber in den letzten Tagen war es warm wie im Frühling und der ganze schöne Schnee ist wieder geschmolzen. Die letzten Reste hat heute der Regen weggeschwemmt.

Actually, I didn't like the first photo because of all the mess on the ground. It would have been much better if there had been more snow. Anyway, you like it and it seems, other Steemians too, and that makes me happy 🙂

Nein, da hatte der Regen gerade mal ein paar Tage Pause gemacht und es war auch relativ kalt, so dass auch etwas Rauhreif entstanden ist :)

Ja wie Schnee aussieht habe ich noch in Erinnerung, dazu helfen wir manchmal schöne Fotos von einigen Herrschaften die dazu gepostet werden :)

Es sieht alles wunderbar schön aus wenn es frisch ist.

Nur wirklich brauchen tu ich das Zeuch nimmer :D

Frisch gefallener Schnee ist am schönsten, und solange kein Tauwetter ist oder Menschen ode Tiere drüberlaufen, bleibt er auch eine Weile so schön 🙂

Stimmt, statt Deine Spuren im Sand, halt Spuren im Schnee :)

Auf frisch gefallenem Schnee lässt sich sehr gut Auto fahren mit den richtigen Reifen natürlich :)

Ja, wenn du im Schnee fotografieren willst, dann musst du so wie am Strand schauen, dass keine Fußspuren zu sehen sind, außer sie passen ins Bild ;)

Meine Winterreifen sind nagelneu und machen Spaß im Schnee - eine kurze Fahrt hatte ich ja schon letztens, als es geschneit hat.

Spaß ist die Hauptsache :)

Hatte mir dieses Jahr auch einen Satz neue Reifen gegönnt. Mit den Alten wäre zwar jeder Uruguayer noch 20.000 km gefahren, aber das mache ich nicht, ab einer bestimmten Profiltiefe werden die gewechselt. Hatte schließlich ca. 60.000km drauf was ne gute Leistung ist wie ich finde. :)

60.000 Kilometer mit einem Satz Reifen? Das ist nicht schlecht - bei meinen letzten Winterreifen war das Profil nach ca 15.000 weg. Da bin ich aber letzten Winter ziemlich oft über den Vrsic Pass in Slowenien gefahren, und die Straße hat Kopfsteinpflaster in den Kehren - da bin ich immer um die Kurven gerutscht und habe das Profil schnell abgehobelt gehabt ;)

I could do with some warmer days think tomorrow the temp may come above freezing for a couple of hours, dang I slipped into talking the weather again was trying to avoid that this morning, very !DERANGED of me

When I look out of the window I cannot talk about anything else but this !DERANGED rain - it's raining in the end of December and we have 7C!

We actually have sunny days in the forecats for the next week mostly, but thats kind of !DERANGED the sun shining and temp below freezing that drives me nuts

I can imagine, that it might drive you crazy to have such cold temperatures while the sun shines, but maybe if the rain stops here your temperatures will rise. Let's hope for some nice weather during the Christmas holidays 🙂

I know my Daughter in Law will be wishing for a White Christmas as she does every year but doesnt look good for that

A bit colder here and a bit warmer there would help us both to have White Christmas, but mother nature has other plans it seems - hopefully she has no !DERANGED plans ;)

I have just come home from a very rainy morning trip to a sunrise that didn't happen because of the hard rain - there's no winterly nor a christmassy feeling around yet 😢

It is too warm here - these are quite the only photos with some frost which I could make this winter until now.
Our temperature is about 8 degrees higher than normal and it is raining most of the time.

On December 24 we celebrate Christmas and we have this day off, as well as the 25th and the 26th are holidays here. So, today is the 27th of December and I am at work again, but it is Friday :)

The weeks are running faster and faster it seems - here, have a !BEER from me to celebrate one week closer to my retirement ;)

December 25 and 26 are national holidays. The 24th is a quite normal day, but the shops close at midday and many companies are closed too. We celebrate Christmas on th e24th though.

I like it that most businesses close for 2 or 3 days. They used to do that here too but now they only close for Christmas day. I think the whole country should shut down for a few days except for the travel industries.

Right, some have to work to keep the world running, but on such days nobody should have to work unless it is really important, such as the police or the firemen.
But what is with the people who don't celebrate Christmas? Here in Austria we have these national holidays which are mostly religious holidays, and these holidays apply to everyone, no matter what belief they have.

I agree sir johannpiber, usually the people celebrate Christmas even if they don't believe in the reason for it just because it's a fun holiday. I don't know of a reason why someone would not join in the fun unless it is against their religion somehow.

I don't like to spend money at Christmas, because I think it all has become too commercial.
The children get money from me, so they can buy whatever they want ... or save the money.
Adults don't get anything from me - I'm too lazy to make handmade gifts, and I don't see any sense in spending money just because it's Christmas and everybody does it ... does that make sense? I'm !DERANGED I know, but I do also ask everybody to not buy anything for me ;)

Yes you are very deranged sir johannpiber but not in this case. lol. I am exactly the same way. The emphasis put on materialism just takes away from the true meaning of Christmas and then people don't even know what the celebration is about. You ain't got time to make no handmade gifts anyway.

So they don't do any of those silly Christmas parties at your work place?
