At first I wanted to hike on a mountain in my hometown today, but the morning weather forecast said it was raining there. But I had a plan B and drove to Slovenia, where I wanted to photograoh a beautiful waterfall that I have never been to. The sky was clear, but halfway there it started to rain, and when I arrived at the parking lot in Kobarid, it was pouring rain.

Zuerst wollte ich heute auf einen Berg in meinem Heimatort wandern, aber der Wetterbericht am Morgen sagte, dass es dort regnete. Aber ich hatte einen Plan B und fuhr nach Slowenien, wo ich einen schönen Wasserfall fotografieren wollte, bei dem ich noch nie gewesen bin. Der Himmel war sternenklar, aber auf halber Strecke fing es an zu regnen und als ich am Parkplatz in Kobarid eintraf, regnete es in Strömen.

Of course, I also had a plan C - drive home 😉
So I drove over the Vršič Pass in the direction of Austria, and when I arrived at the viewing platform below the pass, the fog cleared a bit and showed me this forest in the most beautiful autumn colors.

Natürlich hatte ich auch einen Plan C - nach Hause fahren 😉
Ich fuhr also über den Vršič-Pass in Richtung Österreich, und als ich bei der Aussichtsplattform unterhalb des Passes ankam, lichtete sich der Nebel etwas und zeigte mir diesen Wald in den schönsten Herbstfarben.

These beautiful colors made up for the disappointment of the rain.

Diese wunderschönen Farben entschädigten mich ein bisschen für die Enttäuschung wegen des Regens.

I like fog too, at least if I can take nice photos and I like walks in fog too.

These colors were so intense and I have been glad, that I could take some pictures when the fog cleared :)
My day went fine - at home we had sunshine and have been visiting my brother in law and his family. I went for a nice walk in the woods there, but didn't take any photos.

I hope you have seen some nice rugby games today and the weather was not so bad.

Yes, luckily the fog cleared for a short while and I could take some photos. Otherwise I would have come home with only one single shot of a tree at the river which I have not seen yet ;)

Yes, that's right, and I messed it up. The colors there on the mountain have been so very beautiful "colorful", that the photos couldn't show what I have seen.

Maybe the fog tricked the camera, because I had only seconds to make a photo until the fog covered everything again, and I had to wait for the next window to take a photo :)

Wildlife photography and patience - these two belong together, and you have to know a lot about the animals you want to photograph. This is, why my wildlife shots are always lucky shots ;)

Me too sir johannpiber. About the only thing I am impatient with is my slow-as-molasses Steemit account building where I've been stuck on rep69 for months and my posts usually make less than $2! That gets frustrating.

Then wait until you are at level 71 - now the counter goes so slow up, that watching a slug climbing the Mount Everest would be like an action movie ;) lol
I have stopped buying upvotes and I think, I should be satisfied with what I get from my posts - most times around $3 and sometimes more, when a whale like OCD finds my post is worth an upvote :)

To get from 65 to 70 was way faster than just one number up like from 71 to 72 now.

Well my goal was to reach rep70 and Dolphin so when I reach rep70 I won't worry about it any longer, I probably won't even pay attention to it. Because like you said, it moves too slow.

I wish but I think I should reach rep70 in about 10 days but the Dolphin status will take more like 10 months to reach! Unless I can speed it up a little by buying some but that is not likely since Mrs. J. does not really like steem. But I don't need either to celebrate with a beer! lol.

lol! That sounds hilarious from over here sir johannpiber but could be very serious over there! lol. I'm sure it will rise at least sometime next year. People say all Altcoins will rise when Bitcoin halves but Steem has been stubborn about following the pack before.

Hey do you know what country the 2nd place winner is from? Her blog looks like maybe German language? I have no idea.

I hope, the Steem will soon decide to behave like it should and rise. Maybe when the SMT's start it might change everything ... as always: let's wait and see ;) lol
