My first destination this morning was the Vršič Pass in Slovenia and there the observation deck overlooking the Jalovec mountain.

I arrived there about fifteen minutes before sunrise and decided without further ado to continue down the hill to another parking lot for a better view on the mountain. There I unfortunately had to realize that I did not have a good view and had to climb a bit up the slope.

Not a minute too late, I was able to shoot this first photo of the day of the Jalovec, whose summit already was slightly illuminated the sun. Incidentally, the sunrise took place behind me, but was quite unspectacular because of the lack of clouds.

Of course, I have taken a few more pictures of this alpenglow on the snow-capped mountains, which I will post next week or so.

After these photos I went on to the Lepena valley to the Šunik Water Grove, where I photographed a few of the smaller waterfalls and then went on a search for motives in the beech forest. Unfortunately, the forest photography is something that is very difficult for me, because to find motives in the chaos of a forest, I have to practice a lot more.

Nevertheless, I took a few pictures, and I will post them here in the next few days.

On my way home, I drove over the Predil Pass to Italy. On the way down to the Lago del Predil, I was able to take this picture of an to me unknown mountain, where I liked the brown-orange rockfaces very much.

So these were the first and the last picture of my day. The photo of the small waterfall was created pretty in the middle between.

Information

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C

I didn't have much time yesterday, so I have just taken the very first and the last photo from this trip and the photo with the little waterfalls is from the middle of all photos I took ;)

Yes, thank you so much JJ, the day was really beautiful and I enjoyed being out again after so many !DERANGED gray days.

I was so exhausted, because I had to run up that slope above the road where I had a better view on the mountains, and when I arrived, the mountain was already lit by the sun. So, I just put the camera on the tripod and shot, shot, shot... and I am glad, that almost all images came out quite nice ;)
We have about the same weather as yesterday, but I'm not doing much today. This afternoon belongs to the photos I took yesterday and I have to make a post for tonight.

Hopefully your weather will get better and warmer that you can go out for a little walk.

Ohh no I really didn’t do much at all

In the train in now and when I get to the city a quick rush to the office straight to a video conference and back to back meetings till 11:30 a short break then two more

He seems to be a bit slower than you, what is certainly hard for you, but from march on he will have to do it alone and you won't need to be there anymore. Until then he can only learn from you, what he hasn't learned already ... maybe more speed?

!DERANGED
!BEER

I wouldn’t say he is slower, but he has a different style to me, I do give some tips to speed things up, but he has taken them and ran with this these meetings today went really well, and apart from an introduction of myself at the beginning inthe Second VTC i was a silent spectator

Me bein silent ay make some wonder if I am !DERANGED I used to be so vocal in these

Cheers and !BEER

Well I am letting him to run with for the most part, he has seen how i have bene doing it for years now and i have bene coaching him for that time, he needs now to take and lead and do it his way, I am not !DERANGED enough to think my way is the only way to do it

How powerful is the picture when the first rays of the sun fall on top of a snowy mountain. 🤗
And the waterfall photography is a real rest for the eye .... and when I look I can just hear the noise of the water. 🤭
And the third one is very cold and visits that the mountains can be harsh.🙄
Thanks for these pics and enjoy the weekend @johannpiber 😊

You have to climb up to the very peak in a full moon night and wait for the sunrise. When the sun rises you must wait until the alpenglow is brightest, and just before the glow begins to disappear you have to dig a hole. If you find gold please tell me, that I can try that too ;)

So if you miss work, no one does what you were going to do? So your work just piles up?

0

No, if I am on holidays or for another reason longer than about one week away from work, someone would do the most important work, of course.
There are bills to pay and orders to process and other more or less urgent things to do, which couldn't wait for too long.
But when I come back to work the mountain of work on my desk will have grown !DERANGED high anyway.

No, the work works without me too ;) A few years ago I had intervertebral disc problems and a lot of pain so I couldn't work for a few weeks. My colleagues have been very kind to do almost all of my work, and when I came back to work there was not so much to do :)

We get a raise every year anyway 🙂

Really? So you would be camping out over night in the woods with Big Foot?

I have never done wild camping, but of course, if I had the time to go for such long hikes I would certainly camp in the wild nature. If Big Foot wants to join me he would have to take a shower first ;) lol

That sounds like fun sir johannpiber, would you go by yourself?

That depends on my wife, but I don't think she wants to stay in a tent over night - she doesn't like camping ;)

Ah ha! Neither does Mrs. J. ..her idea of camping is staying in a hotel that doesn't have very good room service. That is her idea of roughing it! lol.

Oh my Missus is not that keen on hotels, where you always have to be well dressed and so ... in the past years we stayed in mobile homes at campsites. They are like small houses and much more comfortable than tents ;)

Oh, very interesting sir johannpiber...so these campsites have mobile homes for rent by the night? That's a good idea.

Yes, we love to go to Croatia, and most campsites have also mobile homes for rent, but not for one night only - you have to book for at least a week I think.

But Croatia doesn't border Austria does it?

No, it doesn't border Austria - there's Slovenia between, but it's only a 2 hour drive :)

I know, it's !DERANGED to give !BEER at Christmas, but the !MARLIANS in the !shop didn't have !COFFEEA 😉

Therea are 8 countries which are our direct neighbors: Germany, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Slovenia.

The !BEER is out at the moment. That's why I give you a !DERANGED !COFFEEA 😉

That is so amazing! But you never go to Liechtenstein or Switzerland or Hungary right? Or the Czech Republic, you don't go there either do you?

I think, we have been talking about Liechtenstein some time in the past ;)
No, I have never been to Liechtenstein, but maybe I drove through the country once. I have been to Switzerland and also to the other countries around, but because I am living in the south of Austria it is easier for me to visit our southern neighbors.

Sadly, that's true, and depending on my time I want to visit other countries too in 2020, but as said, it depends on my free time ;)

Well I think there will be plenty of free time when you retire, the big question is just when that will be and I guess that depends on the price of steem which is really deranged!

You just have to turn the switch and the Steem raises, but I guess you don't know, where this switch is - I don't know it neither ;)

Howdy today sir johannpiber! That is true but I've been reading the top analysts and what they are saying about crypto and they all expect a bull market to grow this coming year. But we don't know if Steem will follow them like the other altcoins seem to.

Good evening @janton 🙂

Let's hope, that the Steem will not be !DERANGED and makes it's way and become a valuable crypto currency :)

I think we should know this year if Bitcoin takes off and the other altcoins follow it. Steem is notorious for not following along like it's supposed to! lol.

Steem is so !DERANGED unknown - nobody knows about it. None of the people I know have ever heard about it and they only smile when I tell them.
