No, the roads here are not icy this year and there is no road at all in the photos.

Nein, die Straßen hier sind heuer gar nicht eisig und da ist überhaupt keine Straße auf den Fotos.

A few days ago I was at Lago del Predil in Italy and took some photos of the ice on the edge of the lake.

Vor einigen Tagen bin ich am Lago del Predil / Raibler See in Italien gewesen und habe dort ein paar Fotos des Eises am Rand des Sees gemacht.

When I looked at these photos on the monitor at home, I spontaneously thought of a highway, hence the title of my post.

Als ich mir diese Fotos zu Hause am Monitor angeschaut habe, musste ich spontan an eine Autobahn denken - deshalb der Titel meines Beitrages.

I took all the photos with the 105mm Sigma macro lens and they were taken on the lake shore over a length of about 10 meters.

Alle Fotos habe ich mit dem 105mm Sigma Makro Objektiv geschossen und sie sind am Seeufer auf einer Länge von etwa 10 Metern entstanden.

In addition to these photos with the lines and curves on matt and opaque ice, I also photographed areas with clear ice.

With a little more patience on my part, it could have turned into a perfect circle 😉

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

That's right - I have seen the communities before in the beta of Steemit, but I haven't thought much about this feature, apart from using the tags and join some ;)
The design of Steemit looks better now and that's pretty much all I have noticed yet.

They say that cold !COFFEEA makes one beautiful. I wonder if warm !BEER does the same 😉

I am very used of Steempeak now, but I'll give it a try and have a look at the communities too - better late than never ;)

Steempeak is my go to site, but i guess i need to look at steemit more to see if I should use it, not doing that would be !DERANGED

Howdy sir johannpiber!!! Sorry for the late reply, I was offline almost all day working outside. The tree is coming along, Mrs. J helped me move one big section of the trunk about 50 yards to a ravine today.

We used shovel handles to put underneath it and rolled it. It was dang hard work but the soil is wet down there and I didn't want to tear up the lawn by using our Jeep to pull it.

I still got one big section of a tree trunk to cut down. We have an old two man tree cutting saw that was here when we bought the place. We tried to cut that section of tree trunk down with that saw but it was an epic failure. lol..those things are HARD to use! We couldn't do it.

So since I am doing everything like the pioneers did, I'll be using a hatchet or axe. It's about 15 inches across so it's not gonna be easy. Did it ever snow yet there?

Seems like a hard work, maybe too hard for a gentleman redneck? Maybe the old Austrian country boy should come over the big pond and show you how to use such a big saw. If it is such one like I'm thinking of, we had one at home when I was young. I think it might be still there somewhere, but I don't believe I'm allowed to take it on the plane with me ;) lol

But first Justin has to do something that I can afford that flight 🙏🙂

Just try to take care of your back, my friend. I am glad that Mrs. J. helps you, because that way she can take care of you too.

No, it didn't snow yet, and I don't expect any snow to come in this winter anymore. Maybe it will snow sometime, but this snow will last only a day or two, because it is getting too warm outside and the spring is near. I am longing for the spring now, when everything grows and gets green again 🙂

I guess I should have looked on youtube to find a video of how to use that big saw! It was really funny trying to use it, someone would have been laughing hard at us! lol.

I'm pretty shocked at the warm weather but I was just reading that this winter is mild because of certain solar conditions and something about equinox. They said we were going to have the earliest spring in 124 years because of some kind of equinox cycle. So it should come soon.

In the morning it began to snow and it snowed almost the whole day long, but there was also rain and so there's only a bit of that white stuff left on some places.

Yes, I also think the spring will come earlier this year, and let's hope that at least we will have a nice spring when winter has not come.

Oh it finally snowed! But it may be gone already which is kinda sad.
Hey I took a few photos of that tree, I had one more section to cut down and I did that this morning.

Howdy again sir johannpiber! Yeah that tree used to be high enough that I could drive under it and then it leaned way over and the end was resting on the ground.

The pond is undeveloped and in need of everything. lol..cleaning, landscaping, everything. That's in the plans for the property down the road a bit. We want to clean it up, thin out the trees around it, put alot of lights around it, put in a fountain, etc.

There's fish in there too. Too many snakes though, couldn't get me to swim in it!

Yes, I will take photos of the progress but like you said, if steemit is still around! It will probably be a couple years before I get to that pond, we have a smaller one close to the house that we will fix up first. That is this one:

Hey, my friend, that pond looks nice as it is. I don't like these "overdone" ponds and prefer them more natural with some trees and shrubs around. All you need are some big fishes in the water and you can sit there in the evening, have a beer and catch some fishes for dinner 🙂

I agree sir johannpiber, about the pond. Ours will be clean and natural but with lights on those little trees and a simple fountain in the middle, it may have lights on it though.
A fountain is good to have so there is alot of water movement. That is good because snakes don't like that. lol.

Howdy today sir johannpiber! Yes, we also want to put a couple of guests houses on the property in case family comes to visit or women being abused need a safe place to stay. There are shelters but the men can easily find them but out there they wouldn't be able to. Plus if they did they'd have to get through me first and that wouldn't end well for them. In other words, another type of ministry and helping people in need.

Yes, yesterday was nice, but today we have a bad and rainy weather which will last for the next days. I don't mind, because tomorrow is a working day anyway, and it's nicer in the office when it's raining outside.

Some of the top researchers think Bigfoot is inter-dimensional...other wise how can he always escape and not be even in the area when the professional Bigfoot hunters with all their high-tech equipment go looking for him?
