Shooting Sarah - Part 2
Sarah contacted me to do an afternoon Photoshoot in the local area. Adelaide is a pretty small place, and it turns out we had a park-location half way between our houses, so we arranged to go and get her in front of the camera. She was very easy to work with, and in just over an hour, we produced a vast array of images, which went over a few different styles.
There was some awesome greeny-bits among a dead, fallen tree trunk, so it was a great spot to take some very bohemian styled shots.
As always, critique, comments, and feedback is always appreciated. Shot with a variety of lenses using a Nikon D750.
The Bokeh on the last picture is really, really nice!

I know you're probably just selecting particularly nice ones for us to look at but at the same time I'm pretty convinced that all your shots are just great XP For this model I think her
gazing into our soulslooking directly at the camera just seems to work better than the ones where she's not. Even though they're all great so there.Hahaha, Thank you! Of course, a good photographer only shows their good shots to people, not their horrible ones.
I've taken many more bad photos than I have good in my lifetime. I'm working on editing a few different shoots from this weekend at the moment and between you, me, and the four walls of this blog-chain, I'm struggling and learn more about what to do in camera when I start looking at things that I want to fix in post.
It's all about getting as close to the final vision in camera and only using Photoshop to tweak. I might share some before / after shots breaking down my editing style and tastes when (if) I run out of photographic backlog to post!

Yes, there's something about gazing into the 'Windows of the Soul' that connects you to a figure in the landscape. I love the first image. Sarah looks so relaxed and natural. Combine that with the eye direction of the second image ~ Would be amazing.
The greenery looks almost surreal ~ Contrasting brilliantly with the Aussie landscape. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Thanks so much Ally! :)
I did do a black and white conversion of that first shot, in infrared. I really liked it, but elected not to publish it here... so have it in a comment instead!
