Wonderful place the Sossusvlei! I've been there too. Did you climb Dune45 too? I've some pictures of that as well.
I wonder how you managed to shoot one of the trees in the shade, because I don't remember any shade.

No I didn't climb Dune45, but I did many photo sessions with the trees. To get the shade you need to arrive as early as possible. We stayed outside National Park and we had to arrive to the entrance before park opening to be able drive to deadvlei with first rays of sun.
Ah, we climbed Dune45 first to see the sun come op from the top and went to the trees afterwards. There wasn't any shade anymore then 😄
