When it is stormy outside...

Time to play with some Christmas lights.

I normally do not put any Christmas decorations too early. At home we always decorated our tree only on the 24th... so seeing Xmass stuff in November is just ridiculous to me.
I took those lights only 2 days ago and put them loosely on a TV table. Added some golden beads chain and that is it. The candles were just waiting to be lit. And looks like the time was perfect. The weather makes days so dull and dark and with all those little lights it is just easier to bare.
Now I think I get the purpose of all those shiny decorations. Not only to make things pretty and festive. But to brighten up the dull, winter days.

I am still missing little candle inside this little moose circle. It probably would be more logic to add reindeer there instead off moose, but I still like that little thing. The glossy ceramic reflects the light nicely. And it is simple enough not to look tacky :p.

Speaking of bad weather... there are really heavy storms hitting the coastline now. We get strong winds and heavy rains. Lots of red and orange warnings all over the country. Flooded streets, broken trees, accidents and closed bridges and airports.
We live high enough not to get the floods or flying branches, but the wind is really heavy. Hope it passes fast...

Doesn't look like fun at all.
I guess we will be staying at home tomorrow too.

we had a storm too. wind blows in the morning were so strong that almost kicked me with my bike to the ground 2 times (almost!)

I very much love the colours. 1st image is pure magic, so attractive... and it sounds 'rich'. my congratulations!

Love the photos! I agree with you that Christmas seems to come too soon; my birthday is early December and, in my house, the day after was when Christmas 'started'. I do like the decorations when they're up, though. Christmas lights put me in a happy place.

I really like how you did those pictures. It's amazing what we can do with a single string of lights. I really really like those candles!

So cool to start Christmas from birthday :)
We celebrate Santa Claus day on the 6th of December. This is normally the day they turn the lights on in Cities. That is ok to me. But November and October is just way to early!

Absolutely beautiful! We’re decorating our Christmas tree later this year because we have a 2 year-old in the house and want her to experience the magic of seeing the tree lit and decorated Christmas morning. !tip

Love the red candle inside the wine glass (or is that a brandy glass?) Anyway, great photos and they definitely bring out the spirit of Christmas. The moose is just right imho.

Thank you! I think those are wine glasses, but they are so huge, that I use them for candles mostly. Probably more than 0.5l capacity.
