Another wet walk around the village lido

All week I've been trying to get a photo of a heron on our village lido. Someone tipped me off that it's usually there in the morning, so off I went with camera in tow. Surprisingly, there it was fleetingly in the tree before it flew off. Hopefully, now I know it's time schedule I will be able to get a better photo.

It started raining hard yet again once I was down there. Saw some lovely reflections on the lido though.

The gull was just watching the world go by. I must invest in fingerless gloves as cold hands aren't good for taking photos. My hands just wouldn't stop shaking.

Spotted some lovely fungi growing up the tree. Anyway, it was partly a success as far as the heron was concerned, but got wet through again. I'm back next to the fire now. 😊
