Mother Nature Brings you Tree Tuesday

avatar
(Edited)

What hath lay in the path of grace
The generous growth and twigs of green
My forest is sheltered throughout the year
The harmony of nature displayed everywhere

Today is #TreeTuesday with @Old-Guy-Photos! I know that everyone has some of those! Dig down deep and show me your trees!

edits 4.JPG

Whispered words, cannot be heard
But, only by the heart
As it should be
My love, my love

Oh, but then he gently brushed his lips upon her cheek
Slight of touch
Overcome, she blushed
Blossoming for him
Like a flower

The ponds are full and giving of their reflection of trees. How can one argue the beauty that the rain gives us? Oh, the days of summer have turned my head, with colorful flowers and the abundant trees, shading my memories of winter. Are there more poetic thoughts in life than that of a growing tree?

edits 5.JPG

I spotted a headstone, should I say yet another? It was laid to rest, long ago, never intending, I am sure, for Mother Natures friends to plant a tree upon the earth. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. In another twenty years, he will have disappeared altogether. This photo is dedicated to #cemeteryphotos by @melinda010100.

I'd like a tree to mark the spot
Where I am laid to rest
For that would be the epitaph
That I would like the best.

Tho it's not carved upon a stone
For those who come to see
But friends would know that resting there
Is he, who loved a tree
Samuel N. Baxter

Let the light in
Reflected from a greater source
Reach for the moon, hang on to the stars
But always remember your roots
Advice from my tree

As always, there must be a flower. I dedicate this picture to #TuesdayOrange #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra, who colors my world every day.

Thank you for visiting my post 💖 Because of you, I come back to post, again and again, I am encouraged by you, for the time you take to visit, comment or even upvote. For all of these reasons, I am eternally grateful. Don't ever forget what a wonderful world we live in, people. Let's hold hands around the globe and make this earth really spin. Some days, it is not as easy to see, how wonderful it really is. Kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

Thank you so much! I love the vine and how it looks, but, some vines kill the trees and so I usually cut them down.

Thank you for stopping in and saying hello! I appreciate you taking the time! I wish you a most wonderful day!

Oh what an outstandingly good post! Your words are passionate, and your photos even more so in their own way! I mean look at that headstone shot...truly classic.

Yes summer is a head turner, but for us in the north she will soon be getting long in the tooth... Fall will be surely knocking on the door!

Copious shades of beauty saturate my soul, my soul, watching as my day disappears into the glorious night revolving in the sky as it sings.

I love this prose and I can only say it brought the lovely song Belle Notte to mind :)

And yes I best get my tree Tuesday up!!! What a miserable host I am!!!

Oh!!! I took your favorite line out as it was in the repeated part. Thank you, always for the awesome comment and upvote and everything else!

You make a terrible host, but, you know we all love you anyway. Now, get cracking and put something worthy up.

And thank you. Truly. I surely had a harsh time with posting tonight. Pfft.

Thank you so much for always stopping by to say hello and leaving such wonderful comments behind. I absolutely love tree Tuesday but this time I did not have the big trees that I normally do. So I tried something a little bit different and I have figured out that I really do love the giant trees instead. So for next week, I look forward to posting or Big Trees!

Thank you again and as always I wish you a most wonderful day.

Beautiful captures! How nature heals everything, NO?

It is always amazing to me how nature heals everything. It was especially I am planning to watch how nature took care of the headstone and gently took it and its arms and covered it with its protection. Instead of making it fall down and away from it. You are so right and I never did think of it that way. I want to thank you for stopping by and always leaving such kind comments!

Cancel waste, I wish you a most wonderful day!

What a fabulous post such beautiful images, I to like the idea of a tree growing over my headstone ( not that I like the idea of having a headstone but tats another matter) and the tree being what family visit if they want to remember me

Have a greta day

Thanks for this great post and being an active member and guide of @steemusa !tip

Thank you so much and I have to laugh every time I see one of those headstones becoming one with the Earth. This is yet another one that I have found Arlington Cemetery. I think that because the headstones have been in there so long and the trees also that when they have grown they have just grown around it, including it into its space. I'm not looking forward to a headstone either but I do like the idea of being one with the Earth.

I think I would rather have my family visit a tree for my remembrance instead of a stone. Thank you for stopping by and saying hello and leaving you're always wise and wonderful words. As always, I hope you have a great day.

Thank you for being an awesome guide with #SteemUSA!

MY Plan is for my Ashes to be spread in the sea or a river and be one wit the earth that way and if my family ever want to visit me for any reason a visit to any water location is better I think than to a cemetery

Well, I think that is a personal choice. I have family members both ways and honestly, the one that doesn't have a grave, I never felt closure with. Silly, right? Because it has always been traditional to have a grave, even one of my great grandparents were stacked when buried, so less space. I think I probably could get used to that, but, I was thinking about how the reason that I found so many relatives was through the gravesites. But, I sure can see your point.

And I see your point, I have discussed it with my family and made sure they are Ok with the idea if any of them had felt the need for a grave and marker I would have compromised and plan for one

Thank you so much, Jo!! @redheadpei

I usually like to post the big trees and for some reason, I stuck with the forest and smaller trees this week. Arlington National Cemetery has been around since the Civil War and they never move the stones, but, let nature take its course. There are quite a few old ones that have been given over to the care of the enormous trees. A great way to be remembered! I agree!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a kind comment! Have a most wonderful day!

The tree's photos are nice but the flowers are beautiful my friend. Love the orange colored one. Such a bright orange color around them.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us. Have a blessed day. :)

Thank you. They are not the kind of trees I normally post. I usually post big, tall trees, but decided to deviate from the regular this week. :) The orange is new to me last season. I don't even now her name! But, she is beautiful, so it doesn't matter, right?

Thank you for stopping by and saying hello, leaving your words behind! Have a great day!

Well they are both beautiful either way. The trees and the flowers. Even though the orange one is gorgeous. Love the orange color. Let's just call it orange goddess flower. 😃

Hye @dswigle! I was most intrigued by the photo with the tombstone engulfed by the try. The contrast of finishes stone and rough bark made an impact.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! That is exactly what struck me and every time I go by one that has changed the plans on where he is resting, I notice that the tree slowly takes it in. It has been years since I first saw this one. I was surprised That Arlington National Cemetery didn't move the stone, but, were probably afraid of upsetting the gravesite.

Thanks for coming by!
