VISIT PORTUGAL_ Chaves#1 (Portugal)

avatar

I'm back on my travels in Portugal
Yesterday I decided to go towards the North of Portugal and I found the beautiful city of Chaves, a historic landmark in the History of Portugal still with enormous traces of our ancestors.
Many of them without any use by tourism and hidden like the baths of the ancient Romans.
But right now, I'm just going to tell you about the beautiful view over the Tamega River.
In which I have to congratulate the state for the beautiful landscape presented, this being an icon of the city

The tamega river rises in Ourense spain with a total length of 145 km in Portugal, it connects to the Golden River and thus ends the water course

In general, the city of Chaves is aged but has undergone improvements in its structures thanks to requalification works

The well-kept gardens end up surprising those who pass by bicycle or on foot.
It is also possible to see fish in its clean waters or even otters for the most attentive in that place.

Engenheiro Barbosa Carmona Bridge

We were in the late 1940s, the Estado Novo had coffers full of money, so Salazar, with the "valid excuse" - I got rid of the war (World War II), but I didn't get rid of hunger - it was sometimes at a cost elevated, allowing the execution of some works, this bridge is one of the typical works of the Estado Novo. Until the date, in 1952, of the inauguration of this important work, Chaves, there was only one possible crossing, it was through the old Roman bridge, which until then would be insufficient, this bridge was named after the then Minister of Public Works, engineer Barbosa Carmona.
At the time it was titled by Ponte Nova

unfortunately I could not take a picture of any otter but I managed to leave the photographic record of the fish, and believe me taking pictures of fish with an IPhone 11 was not easy, Well for today it is all I hope you like =)
