Rolling hills Of Alpe di Siusi

avatar

I have never been to Alpe di Siusi before that morning. I haven't done any scouting the day before and I was just hoping to find something to work with in the field. I knew there are some huts and the mountains of Langkofel Group are dominating in the landscape, but that is it. So I woke up early, drove around 15 minutes from my camping place and started walking from Compatsch. I didn't expect that Alpe di Siusi is this big. I was almost late for the sunrise. However, even though there was the beautiful sky, the sun was rising in the clouds, so, my expectations for the fire in the sky weren't completely fulfilled. So, after a morning rush, I took a walk just to enjoy the views. Soon, the sun started to show behind the clouds, throwing the rays and hitting the hills. It was majestic. I had to stop after every 10 meters to take a photo. Indeed, it is one of the most remarkable places I have visited.
