Deranged Photography Contest - From a Distance Theme and Last Weeks Winners!
This week's theme is From a Distance. Sometimes, the further away you are, the better the perspective you have. I want you to share photos taken from afar. That can be said for landscapes, streetphotography, or just about any type of shot that you need to incorporate the whole setting into your image to help tell the entire story. When shooting this type of photo, it is important to try and make everything in your frame count and help to further your objective.
How is the Deranged Photography Contest set up?
The contest is broken up into 2 different tiers. Each will have a different rewards for the winners based on what tier you enter into.
Here is a breakdown of the rewards based on the tiers:

Each contest will be open for submissions for 6 days and close on the 7th day so that winners can be picked and the new post can be made.
There will be a new theme announced each week. I am hoping to have the whole year planned out and will be able to have that posted for you all to prepare images for the contest.
How to enter
When you enter a photo in the competition, you will state what tier you want to be judged in and locked in for the month at that level.
For example if you enter a photo, you drop the photo in the comment section, state what level of photographer you are, and then give a description of the photograph.
That's pretty much it, drop a photo in the comment section of this post and state your tier. If you want to make a separate post for your entry as well, that is fine, but for your entry to be valid, your photo and tier must be in here in the comment section of this post. If you do make a separate post, be sure to use the #creativecoin and #oc tags. You are also encouraged to join the OCD Community and make your post to the OCD Community. You can join the OCD Discord and be a part of our discord community by clicking the link.
Additional Notes
Only one submission per contest. Extra submissions will be ignored.
You can switch your tier ONE time per month, but only if you are moving up into a higher tier, for example if you are currently in the amateur tier, but you think that you have a photograph that you want to enter in the professional tier, you can state that you are changing your tier to professional. You will then be locked into the new tier for the remainder of the month. You are not able to move down to a lower tier, like going from amateur to the beginner tier.
If you do not state which tier you want to be judged in for the month, I will leave a comment to remind you to do so, but if you don't respond, you will be assigned to a tier and locked in for that month.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any form. All submissions must be your own work. I will investigate every entry and if you are caught plagiarizing, not only will you be blacklisted from competing from any future contests, but you will be reported to @steemcleaners as well.
You are encouraged to share your posts on social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, etc. If you do so, use the #posh tag on your post and share the link of your share in the comment section of your post for a chance for extra curation from curation projects that are curating posts that are promoting Steem to sites outside of the blockchain.

I'm gonna try and "go the distance" with this one photo for this week's theme:
I took this one a while ago, when I visited a dam near my father's hometown.
Anyways, it is a really big one and there's fish of many sizes and colors swimming around; some people actually use to fish there and some even make a (humble) living out of it.
In the distance you can see one of the largest mountains in the state, which is actually a common view for everyone in El Tocuyo (that's what the town is called), no matter where you're standing, you'll see it :)

The Glasshouse Mountains from the far distance at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. I´ve climbed a few of these Mountains and it was awesome, but from the distance they look even better.

And yes, it took me a while before getting there 😁
In this shot I have used a strong telephoto lens in a rather unusual choice for pictures that can be described as macro photographs. And the truth is that the past two years, that I was shooting at the same location, I have used my 60mm macro lens as the most appropriate one. The concept come to me as I was looking some portraits, shot by @jarvie. He often uses telephoto lens and wide open aperture giving a really cool look to the portraits he takes and I thought to try something similar with those flowers! Taking into concideration that I used a cropped frame camera you can understand that I had a really long distance from my subject :)

Vast Expanse
Looking out from the edge of the North Rim on the Kaibab Plateau there's a vast expanse of rock and barren land mostly devoid of water. But actually the mighty Colorado River runs through it. Just past the mountain on the left and almost hidden from view, a four hundred foot deep gorge has been cut through solid rock from millions of years of erosion as the water flows by.
