| Another rather short seaside sunset post. The next one will be a bit more varied. | Mal wieder ein recht kurzer Meeressonnenuntergangsbeitrag (schönes Wort). Der nächste wird aber etwas variierter. |

| Well, sunset post. More like almost-sunset. It was mid-February & pretty cloudy. But that made for a nice creamy showing, as can be seen above. | Nunja, Sonnenuntergang. Eher ein Beinaheuntergang. Es war Mitte Februar & recht wolkig. Ergab aber immerhin ein lecker cremiges Bild, wie man oben sieht. |

| Today's pictures are from the north-west coast of Patras. Looking south, towards the marina, some sailing yachts were going airborne. | Die heutigen Fotos sind von der Nordwestküste Patras'. In Richtung des Jachthafens im Süden sah man einige Segeljachten im Flug. |

| It was not only cloudy, but hazy. Looking at the north coast of the Gulf of Patras this is clearly, well, not so clearly visible. | Es war nicht nur wolkig, sondern diesig. Ein Blick auf die Nordküste des Golfes von Patras macht dies deutlich, naja, mehr oder weniger. |

| Under the sun, a lone fishing boat was roaming the creamy sea. | Unter der Sonne befuhr ein einsames Fischerboot die cremige See. |

| OK, I admit, not really a lone fishing boat. There was another one. & in the background, a ferry is sailing into the creamy haze. | OK, ich geb's zu, nicht wirklich einsam. Da war noch ein Fischerboot. & im Hintergrund fährt eine Fähre in den cremigen Dunst. |

| OK, I admit, not really that creamy overall. With the standard zoom lens instead of the tele zoom, it becomes obvious that the creamy part is only a small fraction of the sky. But I like the creamy part best. | OK, ich geb's zu, nicht gar so cremig. Mit dem Standardzoom anstelle des Telezooms wird klar, daß der cremige Teil des Himmels recht begrenzt ist. Dieser gefällt mir aber am besten. |

| That part of the coast also features some nice rocks & stones, like the above meat stone. But that day I didn't pay much attention to the ground, not enough for bouldersunday, anyway. | An diesem Küstenabschnitt finden sich auch so einige nette Steine & Felsen, wie der obige Fleischstein. Aber an diesem Tag konzentrierte ich mich nicht übermäßig auf den Boden. |

| Some interesting algae growing on the rocks in the tidal zone caught my attention. But somehow I didn't get a good picture of them while under water. | Einige interessante Algen, die auf Felsen in der Gezeitenzone wuchsen, fanden meine Beachtung. Leider gelang mir jedoch kein gutes Bild im Moment des Überspültwerdens. |

| Also in that part of the coast, you find some interesting trees, trying to keep their footing in between the rocks. Looks like they are standing on stilts (reminiscent of mangroves). | An diesem Teil der Küste gibt es auch einige interessante Bäume, die versuchen, sich zwischen den Felsen festzukrallen. Schaut aus, als stünden sie auf Stelzen (an Mangroven erinnernd). |

| Meanwhile, at sea, the cream had almost disappeared, giving way to a rather boring grey. A bit later, the sun would completely disappear behind the clouds. Not much of a sunset. | Währenddessen war auf See die Creme fast komplett verschwunden & hatte langweiligem Grau platzgemacht. Etwas später verschwand die Sonne vollständig hinter den Wolken. Toller Sonnenuntergang... |

| Just before I went home, I found I pinkish rock with what looked a bit like whipped cream dropped on it. Doesn't really show well in the photo, sadly. | Kurz bevor ich nach Hause fuhr, fiel mir noch dieser rosige Fels mit Sahne auf. Die Sahne kommt auf dem Foto leider nicht so gut raus. |
