Is the path more important than the goal?

Today my friend and I wanted to go out of town, no matter where. We wanted just drive and admire the little villages and hills lit by the autumn sun. We were going to listen to the radio and sing songs aloud, watching the landscape passing outside the window.

But you know what? It's not easy to travel aimlessly. Finally, we set a specific destination for our comfort, to avoid driving 150 kilometers both ways "for nothing". I know, it's not "nothing", but try to convince your inner critic of it!

So we decided to visit the observation tower in the small village south of Krakow, but it was only "an excuse" to drive.

Why do we feel so awkward doing something without a specific purpose? We discussed this a lot while traveling. At some point, we heard an advertisement on the radio; it began like this:

Sometimes the path is more important than the goal

We started to laugh, it was like a response from the universe!

We arrived at our destination at the last minute. The golden hour has passed, but we caught the sunset.

These were the only photos taken that day. Watching the sunset without taking pictures? Impossible! That's the question - can we still enjoy the moment? Or maybe we're losing it trying to record it?

Anyway, I believe that today we have managed to find a balance between experiencing and documenting.

As we were driving away, we stopped for a moment.

As for the question in the title, each of you has to answer it for yourself. And it's better not to rely 100% on the self-development books (or choose reading wisely). I have been reading them for 20 years, and sometimes tips change faster than I'm able to absorb them ;)

Have a nice week!

I am the only author of the text and all photos.
