The first thing I was surprised at in Rome was the abundance of gulls. We can assume that Rome is located right on the shore of the sea or ocean, that gulls fly here everywhere.
Last year, before Christmas, I was in Barcelona, which is located right by the sea, but there I did not see so many of these impudent gulls. Very strange, of course. Even in Sochi, I did not see these sea crows in the city center.

Самое первое чему я удивился в Риме - это обилие чаек. Можно предположить, что Рим находится прямо на берегу моря или океана, что чайки летают здесь везде и всюду.
В прошлом году перед Рождеством я был в Барселоне, которая расположена прямо у моря, но там я не видел столько этих наглых чаек. Очень, конечно, странно. Даже в Сочи я не видел в центре города этих морских ворон.

This bird I met on the bridge over the Tiber, when I was walking from the Vatican to the other side of Rome. There were a lot of people on the bridge, and the Seagull sat and was not afraid at all. My friends and I went up to her and we started taking pictures of her. She looked at us and seemed happy about the photo shoot.
People walked around us and wondered. Passers-by came up to us and photographed this bird. Even when we had already gone further, this gull remained sitting on the spot and only turned his head right and left

Эту птичку я встретил на мосту через Тибр, когда шёл из Ватигана на дргую сторону Рима. На мосту было много людей, а чайка сидела и совершенно не боялась. Я с друзьями подошел к ней и мы стали её фотографировать. Она смотрела на нас и, казалось, что была рада этой фотосессии.
Вокруг нас шли люди и удивлялись. Кто-то тоже подошел к нам и стал фотографировать эту птичку.

By the way, the bridge is called "Bridge of the Holy Angel". The bridge goes from the Castle of St. Angelo!
Very beautiful bridge.

Кстати, мост называется "Мост Святого Ангела". Мост идет от Замка Святого Ангела!
Очень красивый мост.

Do you see another gull on the head of the statue? Here they are. They're everywhere!

Вы видите еще одну чайку на голове у статуи? Вот такие они. Они везде!

Can you see the dome of St. Peter's? It's The Vatican!
And the Tiber is very muddy and dirty. All sorts of branches and trees are floating on it. And a lot of floating gulls.

А Тибр какой-то очень мутный и грязный. По нему плывут всякие ветки, деревья. И много плавает чаек.
Вам видно купол Собора Святого Петра? Это Ватикан!

And flocks of starlings fly. I may be wrong, but I thought they were starlings.

А еще летают стаи скворцов. Я могу ошибаться, но мне показалось, что это были скворцы.

And gulls.... gulls...
И чайки.... чайки...

And we went on. It is interesting to wander the streets of Rome. Admire the buildings, the decorations for Christmas. I will try to write a more detailed post about this.

А мы пошли дальше. Интересно бродить по улочкам Рима. Любоваться зданиями, оформлением к Рождеству. Я еще постараюсь написать про это пост.
