Suspects 2 & 3, related: Crassula tetragona
a.k.a. the miniature pine tree, mini pine
The Crassula tetragona is a succulent plant native to Southern Africa but is a popular plant that is cultivated all over the world.
The name crassula comes from the Latin, meaning thick, referring to the thickening of the succulent leaves.
The name tetragona (four) comes from the arrangement of leaves on the stem which grow as crossed pairs.
Maintenance:
- requires a reasonable amount of water
- mostly prefers full sun
- resistant to frost, but does best in temps above 4°C (40°F)
- propagated from leaves and cuttings
- popular with ornamental plant enthusiasts for it's use as a pine tree in bonsai
With the smaller of the two, it's hard to tell whether he's from a different 'branch of the family' (pun intended) or if he's just been roughly handled.
Anyhoo, there appears to be lots of new growth on both plants which only means, there'll be plenty more photos to come... lol
Until next time... xxx
