Long exposure photography with light trails

avatar

Few days ago I tried something that I didn't do much this year which is long exposure photography in the city with car light trails. During blue hour, as the city displays all the colors and just before it gets completely dark is the perfect time to do this.

To capture trails that are long enough I experiment with shutter speed between 15 and 25 seconds. Finding a good location, preferably with high vantage point is essential. I actually did not have tripod with me (street photography habit, I always walk around as light as possible :D ), so I had to figure out where to place the camera on the go. The first shot turned out best, others were just experiments that didn't work well.

Photos taken with Fuji X100F

And a few handheld long exposure attempts.

VERY Impressive... going to try long exposure, as You suggested, right before it gets dark.
