Freaky skies

Shot these a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get to transfer them out... I was just checking what latest shots I had when I found these, forgotten...

I had planned to use them for Sunday's golden hour or a SunThursday post, but somehow they lay forgotten in the camera, until now

I thought the sunset that day was kinda unusual with the water spout-like cloud that hung in the sky for awhile... Kinda ominous except for the warm sunset colours accompanying it!

It was a rainy cloudy day
By evening I wasn't sure we would get any pretty sunsets
However, the sun's glow then broke through the darkening evening sky
Although it had already set, its glow still managed to brighten the sky and that made the dark cloud which resembled the water spout even more visible
Hard to miss that!

I steadily caught as many shots before it disappeared
The cloud formations were moving fast...
Zoomed in a lil closer.... and closer...

Some additional side dark clouds decided to make the scene more interesting...
And also the fiery glow around the horizon spread sideways, resembling flames licking outwards
Can you see it?
The 'water spout' kinda got fatter, then dispersed quite fast
And night time fell swiftly thereafter
