But when I have seen this week's theme I have thought of my walk last weekend and that some of the few photos I have taken that morning would suit quite perfectly in my eyes.

Last Saturday we have had a not very cold but still frosty morning. I went for a walk at my preferred reservoir and on my way back to the car I came by this little lake. It was such a peaceful and quiet morning and this scene shows that very well I believe.

So, this is my contribution to Week 49 of the Hive Blockchain Photo 52, 2020 Weekly Photography and CreativeCoin Contest: Photo 52, 2020 Challenge, Week Number 49 : Peace and Quiet

The frost has grown since I have made my last frosty photos the week before. There's still not much more of it to see on the plants, but the winter hasn't even started yet.

I know this was only a short post, but I have just come home from a busy week and didn't have much time all week.

It has been snowing yesterday and for tonight and the weekend they predict tons of snow, so maybe we will have White Christmas once again since quite a few years. I think we all have deserved some peaceful days after such a weird year, and when there's snow at Christmas it all just feels so much better.

Information

All photos were taken with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4 L IS USM, Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 L STM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

What a lovely and peaceful entry here my friend.
That still water has a perfect mirror effect and the red of the flower fruits lends a sharp contrast to the white frost.
Surely some winners here in my book!

Can I just say wow! Just beautiful @johannpiber..I love every one!! The photos of the trees by the lake are breathtaking and the last photo is very pretty. I think you photographed some perfect photos to represent "Peace and Quiet". 💖

Our frost is now covered by snow which will hopefully grow and stay at least till the end of the year 😉

It was completely windless and there was a thin layer of ice on a part of the lake, or I should better say "pond" 😉

hey there! I just 2 mins ago check the 52 weeks prompt, and was thinking about publishing the same frozen landscape as you (but not such marvelous). and now I see you already have done this. ok, this idea might have been floating right at the surface... mmmm. maybe I still will stick to my initial (same as yours) idea for this prompt! Cause it is so obvious...

I should stress - your landscape is simply stunning. Love it a lot, with or without any !BEER.

yeah, I have seen the photo 52 theme of the week and thought of these photos and that I haven't joined this challenge for a long time 🙂

I wanted to take similar photos this morning since it was cold and snowy yesterday, but it got warmer during the night and now it is raining ... washing the beautiful snow away 😭

Really beautiful photos Hannes. The frosty morning looks like it was painted by a fine artist. A lovely catch of the frost on the red berries..looks like Christmas already. The quality outdoes quantity every time.😊

Hi Hannes😊,

I hope your week has started off pleasantly. We are having snow flurries but they are melting as they hit the ground. I’m sure there will be snow on the ground by Christmas.

News here this morning. The lockdown is on here for 2 weeks. There has been a outbreak in Charlottetown of 4 people with the virus and until they find the source everything is shutdown. I don’t mind as everything was as almost normal until this outbreak and it’s better to be safe.

Hi Jo,

I have this day off, but I'm working from home, so my laptop is running and I am working anyway.

The snow in town has all melted, but they say it might snow again tomorrow or on Wednesday ... we'll see.

Wow, 4 people and you have a lockdown. We have over 2,000 cases per day and since today the hard lockdown is over - the shops and other businesses are open again and masses of people are in the shopping centers again. We don't belong to these people, of course.
I think PEI is doing it as right as Austria has done it right in the very beginning of this pandemic.

Who needs a fake Christmas tree indoors when you have the display outdoors?

Berries look stunning making Christmas winter display, lake is tranquil freezing up into winter wonderland.

Well worthwhile escaping the confines of home to be out in crisp cold air to enjoy everything on offer Johann, as always brilliant photography!

That's so true, Joan, so for our Christmas no tree has to die anymore 😁 and if we have snow the perfect Christmas tree is right in front of our balcony 😄
It's too huge to decorate it though, and I think our neighbors might think we have drunk too many !BEER 🍻

Such mornings are my favourites this time of the year, but they are too seldom. So I enjoy them even more when I get the chance and don't mind very much if it's freezing cold 🙂

Tree right outside, how fortunate, hope you do have some snow to dress for the occasion.

Warm clothing then going out into light mist no matter how cold, is always exhilarating. Enjoy each moment presented, time moves too quickly as long as we keep moving it makes us happy.

Better a live tree, decorations change naturally whether diamonds in rain drops or crystal snow flakes, enjoying a !BEER that makes it festive all year through.

Right, it's not the bad, wet or cold weather, it's the wrong clothing 😉 I don't like wet weather though.

And you are so right, the natural decoration is much better, and you don't have to clean up after Christmas 🎄
I only hope that it will snow again in the next few weeks, because the rain has washed almost all snow away.

Used to love the rain when younger splashing through puddles, not so more now. Misty weather still most enjoyable.

Hope that snow arrives since it is most enjoyable to see it through the lens while baking away in the heat over here 😄 and yes, swilling !BEER

Yeah, I didn't mind the rain either when I was young, but I don't like to get wet anymore, especially when it's cold outside in winter.

Our town is just to low above sea level, but I'm pretty sure to get some nice winter wonderland photos soon 😁

Problem with getting older, one cannot jump one foot into water puddles with twinkle in the eye splashing everyone close to hand. Bones don't allow it and grown up's have forgotten how to have fun 😁

That's true - the old bones break much more easily. And sadly the other thing is also true: grown up's have forgotten how to have fun, because I can often notice that in the little park between our apartment houses, where the elder women are sitting and chatting all day long and chase the kids out of the grass :(
They have forgotten that their own children have been allowed to run and play in this grass.

We become grumpy old gits if we don't reflect how we were at that age, our children next door to us always run to the wall screaming our names to say hello.

Inquiring young minds always want to know what you doing, it is lovely having 6 - 8 year olds kicking a football, squabbling, enjoying life, fills the air with young energy, yup something we tend to forget as we get older.

Yes, never forget that you have also been a child only a few years ago ... never let the child in you grow completely up 🙂

Sometimes screaming kids can be annoying, but much more annoying are old people who shout at playing kids 😉

Looking at the first photo, the feeling of a fairy tale does not leave me. And although there is no red, this is most likely a Christmas tale. Fog without fog, pastel ... this is a real art canvas.

The lake is beautifully surrounded by a lot of wonderful white trees! The reflection is amazing. It looks peaceful and quiet indeed. The frozen red plant is gorgeous. Great capture.

It was a peaceful and quiet morning just as I wrote, but I am not so sure anymore about the White Christmas because it is raining since yesterday. There are still a few days left though to snow and paint the world white 😁

I'm a lousy wildlife photographer, so the reindeer 🦌 might have disappeared again before I could press the shutter button - sometimes even snails are too fast for me 🤣 LOL

This Covid situation has changed much in my life, so that I didn't have much time for the Hive anymore, and I have to admit, that the AlphabetHunt challenge occupied the rest that was left ... I began to post for the challenge and to comment other entries, and I just couldn't stop ;)

This year is almost over and I hope that slowly the normal life will come back or better said the "new" normal life will begin.

Hey friend it's very cold in winter now so the snowfall will be a little more,The greenery on both sides of the calm little river is covered with a snow-white cover, and it looks like a beautiful artist.Thank you so much for being able to enjoy these beautiful pictures.☁☁☁👍👍👍
