How can one be grouchy when Spring is almost here!

I have spent the last week a bit frustrated and confused about the future of steem and the tron takeover and all of that. I had lost my zest for creating new content and the joy of writing here, overall.

At the same time my real life as a farmer required my presence out in the fields every day, a line of work physically demanding on one hand but also totally healing on the other.

Yesterday I spared a few minutes to take some pictures of the blooming almond trees that are scattered around the olive grove. Their beauty was so overwhelming that completely changed my cranky mood and send me straight into creation orbit once again!

Of course, I am still powering down, getting ready for the worst case scenarios, I still know that steem, as we know it may have come to it's end but you know something, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter at all!

The importance of steem is not the money that we may or may not make, it's not the name or the blockchain's manipulations, the true value of steem is in all of you, the real people behind the usernames that made it what it is. Meeting you was the best thing that happened to me the past two years that I have spent around here and if this digital environment becomes too uncomfortable I am sure that we'll find (or make) a better one.

But until the party is over, I'll keep sharing my pictures and my thoughts, not in anticipation of financial rewards but for the pleasure of sending my message out there, to you!

One of those shots is going to be my entry for the Photo 52, 2020 Challenge, Week Number 8. The theme this week is free and although the pictures of this post are a perfect much for, at least 4, of the upcoming themes, i might as well use it now and will see what I'll come up with for the next ones!

@wwwiebe don't worry, I'll let you know which one is my entry, soon enough :)

The photos are beautiful! :) Were these all taken with the 50mm also? I love it. I really need to whip out my 50mm and try to even half-replicate what you're able to do!

With the whole TRON thing... I'm not too worried. :) Though, I will admit I stopped all of my delegations upon the news on the off-chance that I would begin to power down. That was a hasty reaction and I'm still cautious, but also optimistic.

We'll see what the future shall bring!

It is the 50mm indeed, in wide open aperture! I am really impressed with this cheap, small lens, it has become my favorite one :)

You are right, only time can tell how things are going to evolve. Hopefully to the best!

Oh yeah! My 50mm is one of my favourites, too (though it ends up more along the lines of a 75mm due to crop factor). It's super versatile.

Beautiful blossoms and yes it has been so great to connect to people all over the world. So cool to get to know a little about you through your pictures!

I was sick for awhile and then just decided to give myself a bit of break.

Those are brilliant! There's nothing quite like a closeup of a flower with a wicked bokeh background. Sweet!

Thanks a lot! Flowers are always a pleasure to look at and to take pictures of them :)
