"Ruled by Philia"

On St. Valentine’s Day,
We focus on that form of love,
"Eros",
Which is so entangled with lust.

This is so very
Ephemeral,
fleeting and Fragile.
It could almost be
Said to be pointless.

Brotherly love, or Philia, is
More fundamentally important.

This is how
We relate to each other, how we regard our
Fellow Humans, including our mates.

If you
Have Philia,
I think this covers the rest of
Our interactions.

“Storge”, (a new term
For me), refers to ‘natural love, as a
Parent loves a child. Our
"Familial Love" is as important as
Philial;
They would be the same
Thing, but for separate
Reasons.
Guard your Heart,
Don’t let Eros Rule:
Philia
Should reign
Supreme.
