Christmas presents for pets - what did you get yours?

avatar

Yep you read the title correct, I got Christmas presents for my pets. The only problem is, I couldn't wait till Christmas ot give them some new toys.

But I didn't spoil everything, only just some stuff. They will get more on christmas eve. Doing it early with the birds is a good idea. I have 12 for Christmas breakfast and I dont think the birds will get out of the cage much on Christmas day. All the commotion will probably drive them nuts.

I'm sure those of you with pets that celebrate Christmas have also got gifts for the furry ones? What gifts did u get your pets this christmas?

Everything is new. New play gym, new basketball hoop new ring thingy. And it gave me a chance to share something using esteem.

I installed esteem last night and deleted parkito. I see there are points on esteem similar to parkito, nice!

Every year we buy a toy for our dog and a special treat of some kind. We wrap it and let him open it after we get back from the family visits. He loves it. He is a 13 year old dachshund, but opening presents makes him act like a puppy.

lol that's so cool. My birds are just babies. this is their first Christmas ( and they live to about 35). the green and yellow one, Dre, he's the crazy one. Violet is a little more laid back. they will be delighted when they see the rest of the stuff. their cage will be a wonderland of fun :-)

Seriously 35? I had no idea it was that long. That is about 20 years longer than I think I have left :D

Hahaha, I have cats, so they're getting the cardboard boxes. If I learned anything from being a cat slave the last 22 years, it's that buying them fancy stuff is utterly useless. You can't imagine how many presents I have bought them in the past, only to find out they prefer the cardboard boxes. Cool scratching pole with hammocks = we sleep in the cardboard box. Fluffy catnip balls = we play with the plastic wrapper. The only present they ever liked was a laser light. I would shine the light and to would try and catch it (or - as my late, a little retarded neuter would do - try to eat it. So cute!) But they're 19 and 20 years old now, and prefer sleeping over playing, so cardboard boxes it will be ;0)

It's partiko not parkito 😂 you must be in hurry to post it immediately @paulag and welcome to esteemapp 😉
I didn't know that you have a bird as your pet😲 it looks so happy with the new toys.

Well.. I never bought any gifts for my cats😆 he kept losing his collar bell, so.. the new bells always the gift, he could find his own toy outside the house, frogs, grasshopper, house lizards, rats. And his favourite gift will always be the cat's weed anyway.

lol yes I tend to not spot errors so fast in my spelling. I always make mistakes. Most of the time, no one says anything. @abh12345 use to pull me up on it often lol, the good old days...

my birds love their toys, and like eating wrapping paper. lol but I think the kids had a better christmas :-)
