Creating a better world - one post at a time!

As I mentioned earlier this week, we can Build a Better World, Together. That sounds all well and good, but how now shall we act if everything seems to be falling apart around us?

One thing that I think is important is that we continue to expand our social networks. I do not believe in Social Distancing. Perhaps there is reason to be more physically distant, but socially we should be closer than ever, connecting and communicating. Our communities can knit back together again, but communication is the thread that binds us in the end.

I think social media, and ideally decentralized social media, has a role to play today and in the future. I think everyday about a 'killer app' that would let us break through to people on social media.

Its time to analyze your supply chains.

Observe. Look around. Where does the food come from? How about the energy? Water? Gas? Groceries?

The energy comes from the Sun, and it activated when it touches matter. Rich, warming energy touches matter and activates the circle and cycles of life.

For us as stewards, the first steps are obvious. More solar panels. And not the various generations of inefficient, man-made solar panels. No, I refer to the ancient biochemical masterpiece knows as the LEAF!

Leaves are solar panels, orders of magnitude more efficient to produce, collect energy, then recycle the panel than anything humans have ever devised. Be careful of harkening the wonders of neodymium magnets while ignoring the amazing magic of leaves of different types.

Leaves are solar panels

Some solar panels produce strawberries. Some produce asparagus. Some produce mint leaves, oh wait mint leaves are the solar panels....SOME OF THE PANELS ARE EDIBLE!!!

Plants have a very interesting system, and they can show us a lot. They flower and fruit, the seeds of another generation are inside the fruit. Using trees, bushes and herbs you can take advantage of three layers of solar panels (not to mention climbing vines!) The third dimension of verticality becomes important to maximize the amount of energy one can trap in any fixed space.

There is much to think about out side of your house. But inside your house, and indeed inside your own mind there is work to do as well.

Say what you want

Let's all start talking about the things we want to have happen in the world, and to ourselves.

We can write about the positive things and the positive changes we want to see. We can cultivate a positive mental attitude, about which could be considered a tough time. But if we plan to have a tough time, think about how tough it will be! But if we plan to enjoy every minute of this adventure, I think we have a lot more fun along the way.

Not - Don't forget.

REMEMBER!

Those are my three advice for today. Analyze your supply chains, that is, where your supplies come from. Plant more solar panels. And start making sure you are talking about the things you want to happen.

Freedom and Friendship!

Thank you @ecoinstant, for using the CO2 Compensation Coin (COCO) to reduce your CO2 footprint.

Thank you! Are the COCO on steem-engine still viable?

Hello @ecoinstant. Nice to hear from you and I hope you are well. COCO are still viable - now and in the future. Still firmly decided to make it a success for us und the environment. It's difficult to convince companies because of the concept - most of them have heard about Bitcoin and that's all. Working on a way to present it easier to understand for non-crypto-affine people. Now after the Corona lockdown is over here it can continue. Thank you for your interest. @retinox

Hey! I was just watching this and thought you'd be interested since you were building those hugelkultur beds last summer:

Basically he made a hugelkutur bed 4 years ago and he had to repair one of the walls, so he dug it up and showed us what it looked like. :)
Hope y'all are well and growing more solar panels!
