This was captured during a wedding that I have attended in Sadanga, Mountain Province. This was just one of the many pigs butchered during that time. Aside from these, there were wild pigs and carabaos (water buffalo) butchered as well.

Weddings in the Cordillera are celebrated by all of the town so be prepared to feed a lot people. Guests come from far and near. There are those though who ate mote practical and do not follow this practice anymore.

These pigs were prepared and cooked and served to guests before, during and after the wedding. Some of the raw meat were given away to guests. This is a common practice here in the Cordilleras.

Harsh shot. I have hunted in the forests in the past.

Once in a forest I met a moose cow. I didn’t have a gun. I called her and she came close. We looked at each other, eyes to eyes.
Since then i'm no longer hunting :-)
