My wife has been raising these houseplants for years. Most started as tiny things. Many have given birth many times over. One she's had since she was a kid.
She even included them in a short film she wrote. When she waters them, it is an EVENT that lasts for hours.
I'm so proud that our home grows.

What a beautiful group of plants! I love this!
I have far fewer than that and it takes forever to water mine! I can imagine how much time she spends caring for them!
It's an all day all kitchen task.
Almost all of mine go outdoors in the spring so that I can water them with the garden hose!
We don't really have an outdoors. We live in the city in an apartment. I mean, outdoors is there, but we don't have a yard to call our own.
No wonder your wife has such a big indoor garden!

I'm right there with your wife, as I have a LOT of plants that come inside during the winter, and they definitely make our lives better and healthier.
My husband can't wait until we have some good-sized greenhouses, so that not all the plants need to be in the house, but I LOVE the plants being inside during the winter, as I grew up in the Sun Belt, and the long, cold, grey winters can definitely get me down.
We're in L.A., so we have no grey winters, but regardless, having the plants in our house makes us happier daily!
LOL, I was born and raised in L.A., so I can relate.
Then I lived for over twenty years in Tampa Bay . . . and then I moved to Tennessee, originally Zone 6b, which was updated a few years back as now Zone 7a. Way colder than where I grew up.
