INSTRUCTIONS:

Be creative & make self-portraits not in that common way as the trendy "selfies" but in a high quality way partly describing yourself & your way of life. Every each of us has many different roles to play in life: worker, sportsman, soldier, writer, driver, lover, husband, father, wife, mother, artist, model, waitress, lawyer, dancer, actress, scientist, doctor, singer, musician, politician, manager, nurse, porn star, prostitute, gigolo, pimp... or some kind of an imaginary character - somebody who you would like to be... There is plenty of inspiration for the theme!

Nudes are also very appreciated & welcomed as well as the conceptual & art #photography.

#Photos can be full color, b&w & #monochrome tones.

How to apply for the #contest:

1. Use a #self-portrait tag as one of your tags in the post.

2. Clearly mention the #self-portrait photo contest in your post title or post body & tag me in your post - @careassaktart (As this will help to grow this contest). For example: "This is my entry for the #self-portrait photo contest by @careassaktart"

3. Ad a short story / explanation / description to the photo.

4. Your #self-portraits must be your original work as well as the text following! Stolen content will be immediately reported to @steemcleaners.

5. Post a link to your entry in the comment below this post.

Space Travel: Uranus

Rested, I dived into ether and all the way to Uranus I arrived. I came out of the filthy puddle of my destiny. Took me a long time to complete this great voyage of mine. I look back to see what I once was, to analyze what I’ve become today!

Corners of my lips hung to the ground – my face got a sad expression. Tired and sleepless ‘cause I wanted all at the same time, right now or right then, no postponing and delay… Every frequency was interesting, so I wanted to taste it, to feel the vibration of every taste, every smell, color and sound, but also to touch other forms, oh so many times by now. You can’t have it all, or maybe you can?! Everything is always everywhere and nothing is never nowhere!

Thus, I got all that I asked for because he who asks, need not wander! Without fear of any feedback, I constantly meditate. I learned many things and stopped being a fool who makes the same mistakes. No regrets and remorse! Everything is as it should be…

Dilemmas led me only to insecurity. Now, I stand my ground, with a guard that filters both good and bad, consciously letting go to the synchronicity of life. It becomes visible only when you open your eyes, when you look and see, when you are reborn again and awaken from a long dream.

At the end of the Milky Way I came. Or is it the beginning? Depends on how you take it! Far from a bun. Pardon me, I meant the Sun, and its warmth. But my mother’s sweater still keeps me warm.

Space Travel is my multimedia project which appeared to me in the spring of 2014 when I came back from India & was visiting my friend in Zadar. I borrowed her bicycle & drove myself all the way to the interactive installation called "Greetings To The Sun" created by the Croatian architect Nikola Bašić... & then it struck me! Suddenly the words were coming to me - the words above - following the 1st portrait - The Sun - out of the Space Travel series...

It would be nice to have a #sponsor who would #delegate some SP so that this #contest can develop further more & that the prizes can be bigger...
