No Botox for cosmetic purposes, no facelifts or boob jobs. Just me, trying to age gracefully. I thought about botox for cosmetic enhancement.

I know a few women who use it and love it. Its tempting when wrinkles appear on once smooth skin. Our culture applauds youth and beauty and the world rewards those things.

The cost of both Botox and facelifts is prohibitive. I know, because my Botox for migraines is $1200 per treatment. Thankfully I have insurance and the Botox Savings Program picks up my out of pocket. I am grateful.

Botox for migraines does have a side effect of lessening forehead wrinkles, but it also has caused my right eyelid to droop twice leaving me looking a bit angry. I tell my doctor to skip the injection near my eye most injections.

The last time I got injections in October she forgot. Each treatment of Botox lasts three months, so I'll just have to wait it out. I have to remember to tell her next time or she forgets because she has about 60 patients each treatment day.

I have seen the celebrity facelifts gone wrong around the internet and I think the risk is not worth it. Imagine living disfigured by choice.

My face is showing the usual signs of aging. What is important is that I like myself and I'm lucky Jeff thinks I'm the most beautiful girl in the world so I think I'll save money and let time do her work. Remember, smile lines are beautiful!
