Stupid people, not doing basic precautions. The mortality rate is still 2.3% Even for stupid people.

This is not the black death, ebola or anthrax; it is a variant of the common cold. Like Y2K it is Vastly overblown by the media....

Can you put a wind mill in a cage to keep birds from flying into it?

Yes, but the smaller generators are easy for them to dodge. It's the 200 plus foot high speed rotors that get them. Cages will reduce the efficiency some, so the big guys will not add it.

But it would save lives.

The power company does NOT care about lives, especially birds. All they measure is money....

They also have not looked at smaller distributed units, because those might be installed locally, and make local power; and that will hurt their profits too! These are money hungry, soulless people....

How do we get them and share them with others?

Teaching is the only way to make these widespread, and force the power company to make possible concessions. More people will need to fire them to get their attention!

But they ignore the bird problem.

I am in a battle with them on the Damn 'smart meter' they put on my house over my written objections. Money is their only metric, and their sole concern!

I plan to fire them, when the system is running fully! That meter can become an overpriced suppository....

More interesting if it is still under power...THAT way it can report back to them and and save them a trip to the proctologist!
