I have played this game for a long time, mostly weekend evenings with my son, when the wife and daughter went out for their ‘quality time’. But the game is so interesting that sometimes my daughter played too.
This was one of the first “open world” games where you didn’t have to stick to a predetermined path and you just explored the world of the game if you wanted. You could climb mountains, cross bridges, swim across or with the tide of a river and sometimes board a boat for a ride. The graphics and animation were cutting edge and still put some newer games to shame. It has become a legend amongst both PC Gamers and console players a like. It has thousands of available mods as it has become the game to create mods for and in truth some of the mods improve the graphics so much that this 7? Year old game can look brand new.

In addition to a large mod community, there are several Big YouTubers who feature videos on different aspects of the game, which are enjoyable short videos.

As you can see, this YouTuber has 1.5 million fans and this video has 2.3 million views.
That’s amazing.

I like to think my son and daughter learned some useful things from the game, similar to the traits they learned playing other sports at school. Plus I hope it helped cultivate their imagination. It isn’t a substitute for reading books, but more of an additional teaching aid for life.

I would love to hear what others enjoyed about the game and it’s DLC’s like Dragonborn and Dawnguard.
