Mad Dogs and Diseased Monkeys... A Few Observations on the Hypocrisy of the Left in America

 When I came back from Vietnam it was at the dawn of the Peace Movement- 1966- and if there was one thing I wanted more than anything else it was peace and lots of it. I had just come from Hell and had witnessed and participated in things no human being should ever have to be subjected to, so it should be easy to understand why I decided to join the rest of my generation and tune in, turn on and drop out... I packed up what little gear I had and along with a friend and his girl, set out in search of peace and love in Haight Ashbury. 

 Growing up on the streets gave me some perspective- an ability to read people if you will... it's what's kept me alive for 74 years. Most of the kids in "the Haight" (and that's really what they were- kids) were good, fairly decent people who had decided to throw off their parents' values in search of something better- although few if any had any idea what that might be. this left them defenseless and openly prone to the ideological peddlers of the left. They were the "Lost Generation"... lost in a haze of LSD and marijuana smoke.  I went to the "love-ins" at "hippie hill" in Golden Gate Park and what I witnessed was a generation of young people with no direction, desperately searching for some meaning in their lives (while mom and dad paid the bills)... in short a generation of shills prone to the hucksters on the Left- the Cultural Marxists who, disguised as Hippies, fed them the poison pills of Marxist dogma. This was the first generation to be raised by television- the Boob Tube, or more accurately what author and social critic Harlan Ellison termed The Glass Teat. This was also the first generation to turn inward, to become almost totally self-absorbed- another tragic consequence of the Glass Teat. The anti-war movement, unlike the Civil Rights movement was about selfishness and self-centeredness and not about justice... it was a revolution of spoiled brats, too good to be sacrificed for something larger- their country, or the notion of democracy. Even in its infancy I sensed something very wrong with the movement- there were "seekers," sponges willing to soak up any dogma as long as it differed from their parents', and underneath it all was an undercurrent of violence. 

 The Peace Movement was co-opted right from the outset. Taking advantage of the goodness of a generation looking for answers were the Communist poison mongers selling their insidious ideology along with every hit of acid. It was the ideology of Saul Alinsky thinly disguised as an alternative to the "uptight" values of their parents. In retrospect it's easy to see the difference now... if we'd only listened more closely to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention as they lampooned the movement for the falsehood it actually was. This isn't to say that there weren't genuine altruists involved, only that in the long run the same rules that apply to all institutions, organizations, movements, etc., eventually they're usurped by their worst element- in this case the hard core Communists... Weather Underground, Black Panthers and others that sought violence not peace. They were there all the time, staying in the background waiting for their chance. 

 Things became really obvious to me at the Vietnam Veterans March on Washington in 1971. A friend and I went down to show out support and both became disillusioned almost immediately. The veterans, except those chosen by the demonstration's leadership, were almost there as an afterthought. It became obvious that we weren't wanted except as props... this demonstration wasn't about "bring [ing] our boys home," this was about showcasing the moral superiority of the left. The organizers weren't actually veterans, just hard core leftists. My friend and I were there in hopes of saving our brothers who were still there fighting for a cause nobody believed in anymore... they were getting killed and maimed for nothing. But the organizers didn't care about that- it was clear by their rhetoric that they only cared about themselves and not the thousands of vets that had showed up. It was also evident that most of those in charge of the demonstration were paid protesters, not people concerned with peace, only self-promotion. 

 The late 60's and early 70's is about the time that America became swept up in "movement fever," everybody who thought they had a cause began a movement. And similar to the Peace Movement, these other movements were never about what they said... it became obvious to me even at the time that it was about one thing- power. Everybody was looking for a leg up on all of the other movements. It all began with Civil Rights- these other movements tried to emulate the civil rights movements, but they lacked a spokesman as eloquent as Martin Luther King. King's arguments were powerful and appealed to people of all races. Then the Civil Rights movement was usurped by people that didn't want equality... they wanted more. I refuse to believe that Dr. King was killed by a racist James Earl Ray. If you want to know who killed MLK ask yourself this question: Qui Prodest- Who Benefits? Who benefited most from King's death? The answer in my book is Jesse Jackson- he took over leadership of the Civil Rights movement after MLK's assassination. 

 Movement fever was a quest for power. After Vietnam many of the professional protesters became involved with wealthy NGO's. The protest movement went mainstream, for evidence look at the evolution of the Women's movement. In the beginning it was about equality and fair treatment. Now it's devolved into a bunch of man-hating purple haired lesbians that want to abort all babies. This one was easy, I saw it coming in 1969. I ran into a girl I had dated a few years earlier and she had gone full feminazi- men's clothes, combat boots, the whole 9 yards... I could tell after talking to her 5 minutes where the feminist movement was headed. 

 All of the leftist movements, beginning with the Peace Movement were bifurcated- a bunch of good people being pushed by the "mad dogs," the radical, violent Communist left. It happened to the Civil Rights movement, feminism, all of them... and now it's happening with the LGBTQ+++/transgender movement. The reasonable people who sought reasonable solutions via civil dialogue have been shunted aside by the diseased monkeys. Now that's all that have survived. There are still reasonable people  remaining on the left, but they have been silenced- marginalized by the feces slingers. Equality was never the goal- the goal was Communism at any cost. The change has been incremental, little by little the reasonable people were replaced by the radicals whose demands became more and more bizarre until the only ones heard were the diseased monkeys who have assumed places of power in politics, the media, NGO's and other venues of power. 

 I began a book about 25 years ago about how the left would try to implement a totalitarian state- one based on psychology- Therapeutic Fascism, in which they would use psychology to legitimize each and every one of their inane policies from radical feminism, to forced abortions, gay rights, etc.. By infiltrating the educational establishment, NGO's, the media and government agencies they could seize control of the country by using psychology to normalize their odious agenda and to silence dissent... the same tactics used by Hitler and Stalin. In The Asshole Quotient I broke society down into four "types" of individuals, leaders and followers and positive vs. negative types. Leaders and followers is fairly simple- people with some innate characteristics that make people want to follow them... this discounts people that lead by fiat or force. Positive vs. negative is also fairly simple- positives are people driven by rational self-interest vs. people driven by irrational self-interest, perhaps best described as myopic selfishness. 

 If you apply this to the left/right paradigm you will see that the vast majority of people considered to be on the "right," are just people trying to get along, excluding their leadership. It's arguable that there is in fact not really any such thing as the "right" in America, only the diseased monkeys on the left and those that disagree with them. Most people driven by rational self-interest have no real interest in power. When we see the "right" in Congress or other positions of power they are in fact merely individuals driven by irrational self-interest, easily co-opted and in essence no different than the diseased monkeys... or in the common parlance RINO's. 

 As I said before all institutions, organizations, movements, or what have you are inevitably usurped by their worst element- these are the negative types, people driven by myopic selfishness. This factor has allowed the diseased monkeys to take over virtually every institution in America, including the government. Look at the Boy Scouts for example, once a Christian organization dedicated to building the leaders of the future. Now, because of the influence of the diseased monkeys it's become a haven for homosexual pedophiles. I could go on like this all day, but I think you get the picture. Our society has been infiltrated and transformed... the 45 Goals of Communism are nearly complete- thanks to the diseased monkeys. Like President Reagan once famously said: "If we don't go back to being one nation under God, we will become a nation gone under."
