How The Left Uses Education To Brainwash Your Kids... It's Never Been About Education

Since Jimmy Carter nationalized education in 1979 the NEA (National Teacher's Union) controls what your children learn. This has always been the NEA's goal since it was founded in 1857 and consistent with Central Planning- a core tenet of Communism- it has always coveted controlling the flow of information your children receive. They are the next generation of adults and the plan is to incrementally transform America into a Socialist/Humanist/Godless society. As evidence, I offer the words of Horace Mann, the father of American education; John Dewey, the father of modern education; along with the NEA itself. This is a situation where the agenda was in plain sight but nobody bothered looking.

The National Education Association will become a political power second to no other special interest group... we will organize this profession from top to bottom into logical operational units [cells?] that can move swiftly and effectively and with power unmatched by any other organized group in the nation. -Sam Lambert, NEA Exec. Secretary- 1967.

And they've made good on their promise, since the Department of Education was established in 1979 NEA members have dominated the department and essentially controlled education in the US... if it's not sanctioned by the NEA, you're kids won't learn it. That includes a political litmus test for prospective teachers and complete control over textbooks and curricula.  Horace Mann, widely viewed as the "father" of American public education, created the "look and say" method for teaching reading which was adopted by the Massachusetts Board of Education in the 1837. Mann's intent was to "...establish a new religion, with the state as its true church, and education as its Messiah."1 In Mann's own words:

What the church has been for medieval man the public school must become for democratic and rational man. God will be replaced by the concept of the public good...The common schools... shall create a more far-seeing intelligence and a pure morality than has ever existed among communities of men.1

Dewey, like Hitler and Stalin, believed that the goal of the public school system must be "social unification" in order to promote "state-consciousness." Dewey was a signer of the Humanist Manifesto:

The Humanist Manifesto affirms the theory of evolution which  teaches that man has no soul, and reduces them to simply an animal. Since values are determined by the individual, any type of sexual perversion between consenting adults, euthanasia, and suicide are all proper. In fact, the Humanist Manifesto II, 6th and 7th thesis, advocates exactly this. [Moreover], Dewey believed that man is not a reflection of God, but that society and education must be 'socially planned' by the state. Dewey stated '...all aims and values which are desirable in education are themselves moral.' In other words, humanism is a religion, and its tenets are the only [emphasis added] acceptable source of moral principles. He believed that these principles of humanism, as outlined in the Humanist Manifesto, must be infused in all public education.1

Similarly, NEA members still hold the same attitudes and principles. Humanist John Dunphy, in 1983, wrote for the Humanist

“I am convinced that the battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being... The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new -- the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of 'love thy neighbor' will finally be achieved.”1

The fact that violence in classrooms has risen disproportionately since Dunphy's "method" has been employed seems lost on the NEA and their supporters.  Dr. John Goodland, writing for the National Education Agency later in the 1980's argued: "Our goal is behavioral change. The majority of our youth still hold to the values of their parents and if we do not resocialize them to accept change, our society may decay."1 Goodland is right about one thing- our society is decaying, but not for the reason he states, but because of his "resocialization." Dr. Chester Pierce of Harvard, a psychologist that specializes in education, wrote in 1973:

Every child in America entering school at age five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances toward our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It's up to you teachers to make all of these sick children well by creating the international children of the future [emphasis added].1

The Humanists who control public education not only wish to abolish the belief in God (hence no prayer in schools), but they are attempting to undermine familial values as well, condemning parents as the inculcators of "mental illness." Moreover, they are attempting to unravel the very fabric of our society. Is it any wonder that many parents are opting for home-schooling? The NEA, the humanist vehicle for change, is not only striving to create these "global citizens" but destroying the educational process in doing so. I wrote these words 25 years ago and things have only gotten worse under the Humanists of the NEA controlling American education. None of this is new. Sir Ernest Barker warned in 1927 (citing an even older book by C. H. Pearson National Life and Character written in 1893), both of whom saw the dangers of Humanists and public education destroying the family:

The obvious danger of a general system of State education is that it may produce uniformity of type and discourage both local and individual variety. ...it is the theme of a fine chapter 'The Decay of the Family,' in C.H. Pearson's book on National Life and Character. Will the family continue to be a responsible moral institution, he inquires, when the state school looks to the health and physique, as well as the mind  and the character, of its members. 'We may imagine,' he writes, 'the State crèche, and the State school; and the State doctor, supplemented, it may be, by State meals; and the child, already drilled by the State, passing out from school into the State workshop.' There is some justice in Pearson's fears, and his imaginings were prophetic. It is true that teachers may be rivals, and even supplanters, of parents; it is true that there are fewer real homes, and less of family life- though the reason is hardly the growth of State schools, but rather the premature employment and precocious independence of children, coupled with conditions of housing which make homelife very difficult. But the indictment against State schools goes far beyond any matter of their affect on the family. Godwin's fear of the alliance of national education with national government touches profounder issues. A system of national education is, as it were, a new tool in the hands of the State; and it may use the new tool for what it imagines to be its own ends. It may attempt the uniform prescription, from a central office, of a single code intended to realize a national ideal conceived in the brain of its own officials, and it may thus seek to defeat the right of self-determination which, in education no less than in other matters, is inherent in any democratically governed community.1

The more things change, the more they stay the same- or get progressively worse. These words were as accurate and profound in 1893 and 1927 as they are today- they seem almost prophetic. And what has public education produced? Generation after generation of progressively dull-witted, semi-literate students culminating in ANTI-fa, indoctrinated thugs who can feel but not think independently. The NEA got what they wanted- indoctrinated slaves for the corporations- to the detriment of America... the opposite of the educated populace Jefferson saw as the upholders of liberty. As Charles Sykes, Senior Fellow at the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute and specialist in educational issues observed:

"...refocusing the schools away from intellectual pursuits to a new agenda of 'life adjustment.' In the new school, social values were given far more weight than traditional subject matter. From now on, the (NEA) yearbook declared, the school must put 'human relationships first' and must provide 'a school environment where the satisfactory adjustment of all pupils is of primary consideration...'"

Satisfactory adjustment to what, one may ask? Public schools are certainly not producing well adjusted students- most who go on to college are in need of safe spaces, teddy bears and coloring books if their fragile understanding of the world is even slightly challenged... or "triggered" as they call it. Somewhere in the great beyond, the "Greatest Generation" is laughing their collective asses off- I was in Vietnam at 18 and I know I am. And now we have the 1619 Project, teaching school kids to be ashamed of the greatest nation in the history of the world.

What I've been explaining is called Operant Conditioning- replacing critical thinking with social programming. It's the culmination of education control- social engineering future generations. It's what the Socialist/Humanists have been working on since Horace Mann began pushing for a system of public education. There are a lot more than "educators" working on this, the therapeutic community have a hand in it as well. Psychologist B.F. Skinner once claimed something to the effect: "Give me a child and I can mold him into anything." Skinner gave birth to a discipline within psychology known as behaviorism. Behaviorism operates on the principle of punishment and reward, as does the American education system along with the social system within schools.

Conformity is rewarded- non-conformity is punished. Educationally, if the student regurgitates the proper narrative he/she is rewarded with a passing grade... the better the regurgitation, the better the grade. In the social hierarchy within the school, non-conformity is punished by ostracism and conversely rewarded by membership in "the in-crowd," usually into whatever clique they desire. This programming prepares them for college where they become radicalized. Once college membership was limited to students who excelled, but now it's open to anyone with the cost of admission. This enables the educational establishment to radicalize more activists. This is what education in America has devolved into... it's not about gaining knowledge as much as it is about indoctrination- any actual education is due to the persistence of gifted students and occurs purely by accident.

Under the guise of education, students are fed a steady diet of propaganda such as the 1619 Project. This is not designed to educate or enlighten, but to cause guilt and social division.

The Western Journal recently ran an article detailing a New York Times initiative called the 1619 project. The aim of this project is to build upon the racial tensions exacerbated by the modern social justice movement by teaching elementary school children that the <a href="https://www.westernjournal.com/children-50-states-taught-revolutionary-war-fought-promote-slavery/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=thenewvoice&fbclid=IwAR0SSkWMC28X1vXSgVhXcPMzbYaRE-8QxO_yTrCq-rxJgFThmZc8SpDghoE"Revolutionary War was fought to protect the institution of slavery. There are several reasons why this is factually incorrect; however, if our children are continually exposed to this type of propaganda, they will grow up believing it.  The goal of education is not to create free-thinking individuals, but a compliant citizenry that accepts government control over their lives. This is achieved through operant conditioning techniques, a process otherwise known as stimulus-response conditioning.

Critical thinking and creativity are some of the things punished under the Skinnerian system which pushes conformity above all else. " Founded by B.F. Skinner, operant conditioning works on the premise that behavior can be controlled and modified by manipulating the environment and reinforcing acceptable behavior through negative or positive reinforcers." Part of the environmental manipulation comes from the students themselves in the form of social ostracism. Human nature dictates that almost everyone wants to be accepted- especially during their early years which is why peer pressure has such a profound effect.

" In 1969, the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare released a booklet entitled “Reducing Behavior Problems: An Operant Conditioning Guide for Children,” where operant conditioning is defined as the following- "

“In its simplest form, operant conditioning involves the systematic use of consequences to strengthen and weaken behaviors under specified stimulus conditions. Operant behavior is strengthened by some consequences called reinforcers and weakened by other consequences called punishers. Withdrawal of reinforcing consequences will also weaken behavior. This procedure is called extinction.”

"Extinction" is a very apt term in this particular case... character traits like critical thinking and creativity within the current educational environment have practically been driven into extinction. And we have B.F. Skinner to thank:

In Skinner’s Beyond Freedom and Dignity, he highlights how behavior can be manipulated through people’s natural tendency to want to fit in. “People who get along together well under the mild contingencies of approval and disapproval are controlled as effectively as (and in many ways more effectively than) the citizens of a police state (Skinner, 1971). ”What he is saying is that through the techniques of operant conditioning, children in our schools, out of fear of standing out or causing problems will go along with what they are taught. This behavior will be reinforced through reinforcement schedules to the point it becomes ingrained in who they are. In other words, this is how our children are growing up to be social justice activists, through behavior modification techniques.

So much for Jefferson's educated populace... the modern system of education has transmogrified into laboratories for behavior modification experiments. The result is that students in the US- which spends more per-student on education- ranks behind some third-world countries in math, reading and science; proof that throwing money at a problem won't solve it... especially if the money is spent on social engineering. This is not even to mention that what's being taught is mostly absolute garbage- climate change, Common Core and the like. To digress for a moment: I used to hire a high school kid or two to work at the cemeteries during Summer vacation. I had one kid so terrified of climate change he was convinced that we have 10 years or less to live- a completely nihilist attitude. This was so ingrained that he was in an almost constant state of depression... and he isn't alone. Many of these kids have given up on life because of propaganda being fed to them by their teachers.

“Education should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils are thus schooled, they will be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school masters would have wished … The social psychologist of the future will have a number of classes of school children on whom they will try different methods of producing an unshakable conviction that snow is black. When the technique has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for more than one generation will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies or policemen.” —–Bertrand Russell quoting Johann Gottlieb Fichte, the head of philosophy & psychology who influenced Hegel and others – Prussian University in Berlin, 1810

If the kid that worked for me is any indication, they've been very successful. "John Dewey, [who I mentioned earlier] known as the father of modern education, believed that public schooling should be used as a means of socializing students and creating the type of citizenry that fits societies needs." Like George Carlin so aptly put it:

https://images.app.goo.gl/hDoZq5ESK6tCy9kp9

And now they want activists- people who can be manipulated into fighting for their globalist/Socialist utopian vision.

In other words, education should focus on creating a workforce and not free-thinking individuals. This is very much in line with the type of education system we have today. Dewey also believed that reading and high literacy rates were detrimental to this agenda and schools should focus on reducing curriculums focused on the development of reading and writing skills. Today, America is facing a literacy crisis where 30 million Americans cannot read or write above the third grade level.

The "average" students become the "worker bees" while those who go on to college- those Liberal Arts and Art History majors currently living in mom's basement- become the activists... ANTI-fa. They typically subsist on Social Security Disability for their depression or some other mental disturbance. This is of course, not to say that depression doesn't exist or that it isn't an important issue, only that these people most often don't have it, except to use as a crutch. Since Dewey invented the "see and say" method of teaching reading, test scores have gone steadily down.

Many of the problems facing the teaching of writing are highlighted in this writer’s paper “The State of Writing in American Education.” One example is the fact that the English language itself is being taught as a form of white supremacy and systematic oppression. This is being done to condition students with the belief that America needs to change while reinforcing the misperception that our nation was founded on racism and slavery.

A professor friend, Dr. Tom Bertonneau, worked for the Mackinac Center, a Michigan think tank doing studies on education. In the course of his studies he interviewed Human Resources departments in several major corporations including GM, Ford, Chrysler and others. The biggest complaint they has when hiring middle-management is that nobody can construct a simple declarative sentence. The reason for this is because the modern educational system was designed after the vision of Dewey (and Mann before him), Dewey got many of his ideas from the Soviet Union. "In the book “Toward Soviet America,” Communist party chairman William foster espouses his vision for a federally controlled education system ̶ "

“A U.S. Department of Education; implementation of a scientific materialist philosophy; studies revolutionized, being cleansed of religious, patriotic and other features of the bourgeois ideology; students taught on the basis of Marxian dialectical materialism, internationalism and general ethics of a new socialist society; present obsolete methods of teaching will be superseded by a scientific pedagogy. The whole basis and organization of capitalist science will be revolutionized. Science will become materialistic, hence truly scientific. God will be banished from the laboratories as well as from the schools.

The problems here should be patently obvious: First is "internationalism," another word for globalism. Second is the "the general ethics of a new socialist society." There are no ethics in socialism- the two are antithetical. Socialism is based on "the end justifies the means," and if the 20th century is any indicator, the deaths of over 100 million citizens is perfectly acceptable... most of whom died for simply objecting. If your ideas are good enough, they'll stand on their own merits, you don't need to force them at gunpoint or murder. However, "[d]oes this not give some understanding of why so many kids are coming out of public schools begging for socialism and hating their own country?"

The brainwashing is working. Generation after generation coming out of school with little or no substantive education, but radicalized should be proof enough. Anyone with a modicum of education can see through the fallacies inherent in socialist theory despite whatever name they give it such as Democratic Socialism. Socialism is socialism- it's the theory and premises that fail, not the name... but our educational system is so broken that students lack the thinking skills needed to see through the charade. "With each passing generation, we are moving further and further away from liberty and closer to Communism."

President Trump is in charge of all federal agencies and has the power to stop this. Betsy DeVos was a terrible choice to head a department that shouldn't exist. When TV's began to proliferate America I saw it as an opportunity for America to become the most astute and well-educated society on earth... but they used the medium the same way they did the educational system- to program people not to think. We're doing a little better with the internet- at least there are pockets of people able to think critically, but we have a long way to go. The first thing that needs to be done is to abolish the US Dept. of Education and return education to local school boards which worked very well up until 1979. Or better yet, give tax credits and/or grants to people that homeschool. Most of the Framers, the men that designed our system of government and wrote the Constitution were homeschooled. Yet the government- in particular CPS- is going after homeschoolers with a vengeance. Our children belong to us, not the government. It is for us to decide who will educate them. In a recent article by researcher Corey Lynn:

There has been a lot of state legislation, rules and regulations, and control over homeschooling throughout the years, but recent proposed bills are becoming alarming and indicative of trying to intimidate parents away from homeschooling. When they want Child Protective Services (CPS) knocking on your door to approve of homeschooling, there is a big problem. Even the National Advisory Committee on the Sex Trafficking of Children & Youth in the United States is requesting ideas and recommendations for professionals working in the foster care system. Why? Because they’ve stated that they recognize child trafficking is a huge issue in this country and have been observing the increasingly vocal concerns about the CPS system. They have even acknowledged this in the State Department’s 2019 Trafficking in Persons report. I recently did a report covering the corrupt child welfare system in southern Florida

It isn't parents that are the problem in this country it's the government- particularly CPS and the educational system who work hand in hand to force their agenda on America. That's what this is all really about. Strong families and homeschoolers are an impediment to the Socialist/Humanist agenda where the nanny state is god. The citizen has but one right under this system- the right to obey. That's why the Dept. of Education is working so hard to brainwash your children.

With homeschooling growing at an estimated rate of 2% to 8% per annum just over the past few years, and over 1.6 million children being homeschooled, I knew that this would eventually hinder their indoctrination agenda, and suspected that states might attempt to instill new laws and crack down on homeschooling. My suspicions were right, and it’s far worse than I imagined. If there is one thing that most parents who homeschool have in common, it is that they have activism in their blood. That said, those parents, and all parents who are considering homeschooling, need to be on high alert and pay attention to any bills being proposed in regard to homeschooling. The last thing they want is for you to pull your children from public schools and teach them the truth.

Many of these proposed bills include forcing parents to become certified teachers. "Certified" in this context has a double meaning. In order to receive teacher certification you have to pass a political litmus test assuring that you are on the "right" side of the political divide. Another bill designed to discourage homeschoolers is:

Earlier this year, in Illinois, Democratic State Rep. Monica Bristow introduced House Bill 3560, which would have required Child Protective Services to investigate the homes of all children being homeschooled to ensure there was no suspected child abuse or neglect in the home. Of course, even if there was no reason for these suspicions, the parents would be forced to allow CPS to enter their homes and investigate before they were allowed to homeschool. Fortunately, this bill was tabled and killed in less than a week, but it doesn’t mean they won’t attempt something of this nature again in the near future.

Another equally ridiculous bill requires that:

In January, a similar bill was introduced in Iowa that proposes quarterly home visits to check on the health and safety of children being homeschooled. This bill states that the visits will take place in the child’s residence “with the consent of the parent, guardian, or legal custodian,” but is followed up with – “if permission to enter the home to interview or observe the child is refused, the juvenile court or district court upon a showing of probable cause may authorize the person making the home visit to enter the home and interview or observe the child.”

"To check on the health and safety of children..." The only difference between this and any other home is where and how the child/children are being educated. What does this have to do with health and safety? Children are far more likely to be exposed to communicable diseases in public school than at home. Moreover, there are far less schoolyard bullies at home than in public school. This has nothing to do with health and safety and everything to do with the statist/globalist agenda. The state wants to control what and how children are taught. This is the crux of the matter:

These bills are a sampling of the government’s attempt to control your parental rights, your children’s rights, and your freedom. Now more than ever it is important to stay on top of what bills are being introduced, rally together, and fight them tooth and nail. The last thing you want is CPS knocking on your door. They are unwilling to loosen the reigns on their indoctrination agenda, so it is up to the parents to monitor what is being taught in their child’s public school, in addition to what new laws they are trying to instill for those homeschooling.

Conform or be punished... that's what this is about. It's the same Skinnerian technique being applied to children in the public education system. It's the same principle employed by Socialists and totalitarian regimes throughout history and around the world... submit or die because the end justifies the means. We need to fight this. President Trump promised that "America will never become a Socialist country." We need to hold him to that promise- our future, and more importantly, our children's futures depend on it.

A great man and an excellent authority on education. Looks really interesting. The first part of the article was from a book I was writing 25 years ago on the Clintons. Their relationship with the NEA and other NGOs is very telling.

Did you say you sent emails to the White House? If so, or if others did, I think some articles, videos, etc, could talk about those emails to help other people send emails, to call their senators, to write them letters, to go see them in person, the governors, mayors, presidents, representatives, the town halls, etc.

I'm not sure the WH even reads them (unless you're a donor). The best way is to contact your district Rep and Senator... just remember it will likely get you put on a "list." I contacted my Rep about immigration and he sent me an email about cloture in the Senate being the most important issue... I sent him one back calling him a feckless cunt. Tom Cotton sends you a stock reply "Thanks for contacting me, blah, blah, blah. John Boozman is really good, he always sends a heartfelt reply and is concerned about the issues and he listens.

To get a WH response it will take volume- thousands of emails. I send them in hopes that it may make a difference and it has... I'm on a FBI list now lol.

Be strong. All the good energy with you. You're doing a great and right thing. It's awaiting me soon as well. My little person's just turning five. Looking at his beautiful and innocent face I can't imagine to put him in the system. Homeschooling and unschooling is the only option my family see.

The public school system prepares children for boring repetitive lives- it's criminal- they kill creativity. When I taught my kids I would give them reading assignments or let them choose their own. They learned to love reading. I had them write papers about what they read and we would go over it correcting for spelling and grammar and then discuss what THEY thought about what they read. Kids respond when their own opinion matters. My boys were reading Plato and Aristotle by the time they were 12-13. I didn't expect them to understand at the same level as me- but at least they were exposed to the material. Teaching a child to think is the most important gift you can give them.

I homeschooled my 4 during the 90's fighting CPS tooth and nail. I was teaching at a community college nights at the time and CPS questioned my qualifications to teach!

While it's not reached quite the same extremes in the UK and Australia, yet, it's certainly on the same path. The need to fit in is certainly the hook. Also, us oldies are easily just seen as unenlightened, because we weren't taught what they were, so we know no better. Therefore despite the fact that history shows us that socialism and Marxism has failed at every turn, this time they're obviously going to do it right and even if people are killed for the sake of it, it won't happen to them. They should have behaved and believed, the same as they did.

Tavistock Institute is behind the social engineering program carried out by the cultural marxists. They invented concepts such as "cool" and invented the term teenager. They have the kids convinced that socialism is "cool," and that they're smarter than we "oldsters" are... people like Alexandria Occasional-Cortex- rebels without a clue.
