You'd be forgiven for thinking that steem has exploded into a myriad maelstrom of maniacally minted moneys. Well I'm here to tell you - with much needless alliteration - that you are forgiven... and it has!

The most recent in the mountain of magical crypto-tokens to converge on our capricious community of creators and content consumers is... drum roll please... Palcoin.

This steem engine token is the new reward dynamic attached to the peace, abundance and liberty discord community, which is one of the oldest 'open' communities attached to steem. It is definitely either the second or third discord community I joined and is famous for the many radio shows they host.

Hey raj808 I hear you remonstrate... get back to the alliteration.

Ok.

Pal have pulled no punches in producing their own posting platform, palnet.io. Where you can vote and visit your favorite posts using the steem engine's SCOT algorithms to reward reviews, stimulate stories or advance articles with your vote. The best thing is that it is seamlessly integrated with steem. Meaning that when you vote on a steem article it rewards any article with the palnet tag with tokens based on the voters staked Pal.

To put it super simple - without any more stupid alliteration 😉 - you get rewarded in Pal (as well as steem) automatically when you either post from https://www.palnet.io, or insert the #palnet tag in your steem post on any of your favorite steem front ends. Anyone who has been active on steem in the last 2 months has been airdropped tokens. To read all the details... in detail, please check out the whitepaper here.

sign in with whatever method
you want to get the job done.

I just checked on steem engine for you cryptopie and the current ask price is: 0.05793steem/Palcoin

So, I'll do a bit of maths for ya:

Say you had 100 Palcoin would = 5.79 steem

which = about 100 Palcoin is worth $2.3 currently

Hope this helps mate. They're not massively valuable yet but what will happen in the future is anyone's guess. I have claimed 791 palcoin and staked them all so that I can reward other people & hopefully a lot of the people who I support on steem and they support me will stake theirs and then we all earn extra together :-)

This what is genius about Palcoin. When you vote on steem if you have Pal staked it automatically votes both at the same time. So you don't have to do much other than log into palnet.io using your steem username and private posting key every week or whenever you want to see exactly how much Pal you have earned on posts. For example, my post yesterday about steemfest earned 6 Pal automatically.

Also, Pal works on 50/50 author curation. I know that you were not in favor of that change for steem but this is a very good example of where we can see if that change actually does change behaviors so that more people will curate therefor raising everyones payouts by eliminating bots etc. The other great thing is that the amount of Palcoin airdropped is capped at 2500 maximum. That means that even whales and orcas don't have that much of a headstart on everyone else as they did on steem. This should result in a fairer distribution of the token as people are comparatively on a level playing field.

Nice, you got almost double what I did and that makes sense as you have almost double SP I have ;-)

Yeah, if you need cash it is a nice little bonus for doing nothing... or if you don't need the cash it is worth staking it and seeing what happens in the next bull run. Apparently, it only takes a 5 weeks to power down so it is more liquid than steem power and as I said, the fact that the airdrop is capped at 2500 maximum means that in 1 -2 years if steem is still going Pal ecosystem will be much more level than steem is and, in the case of another massive influx of users like in the last bull market, everyone who stakes and blogs now will be whales at that point.

All that is far too many different factors to say that's what will happen... but I am sure that's one of many possibilities. I'm hanging on to mine for now.

Yeah, it's certainly inspired a shed tone of posts 🤣 but that's not surprising as it is one of the largest discord communities. & extra rewards and all that. That's why I wanted to make funny/sarcastic post. To do something a bit different.

My mum used to say:

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

She was right, but every child rebels against their parents lol

Tbh, I think that Seven77 could probably do something similar with love tokens, but it would need a Blockchain dev to help clone steemit. I'm not sure how, but it could be achieved.

Have you checked steem engine? To see if you've been airdropped palcoins? I think you'll probably have the max 2500 given your SP.
