Russian Assets everywhere!!!

There are those who subscribe to the two party system in a way that is radically unhealthy. I mean, let's not forget that corruption is one feature that is truly bipartisan, but then again, it's not that I don't understand the mental machinations of tribalism after all.

All that being said, what has been happening for the last couple of years, the idea that Russia is behind everything bad that happens to the US, and that we are but innocent, pure, democracy loving guardians of this planet, is pathetic and somewhat hilarious.

In the last democratic debate, Yang quickly brought up the point that we too have meddled on other countries democracies, and the partisan hacks made it a point to feel outraged and offended. Yes, as if Libya, Nicaragua and most recently Syria is not even a thing. Who believes these people's words of indignation? I certainly cannot take them seriously one bit.

The latest front of attack they've been partaking of is to call anyone who is deviating from the carefully defined lanes a Russian Asset. You see, they are not calling Tulsi a Russian Agent, because that "would be too much", but they are certainly saying she's helping Russia. To pile more garbage on top of the stank, when Yang and Bernie said that it's not correct to treat a veteran like this, they also got labeled as assets, all the while the rest of the spineless candidates pretended they never heard a peep about it.

To me the truth is quite obvious. We are seeing a battle of elites. People with more power and more cash that you or I could ever dream of, pretending to fight for the little ones, meanwhile attempting to secure their positions in the pyramid of power.

It would be in our best interest to recognize the ridiculousness of it all, and how issues that are policy centric get weaponized to divide populations and secure elections. Regardless of what wing of the political bird you lean towards, we all want the same. We want a system that is fair, allows the population to live healthy lives and protects our way of life. We only disagree on the implementation of solutions, but the discussions don't have to be filled with hatred and vile.

As for the whole Russian asset thing... Well, if this makes me one, then....

Dasvidaniya my friends...

Amen @meno ...

"We are seeing a battle of elites. People with more power and more cash that you or I could ever dream of, pretending to fight for the little ones, meanwhile attempting to secure their positions in the pyramid of power."

... to this! Of that there should be no question, to anyone who is willing to be intellectually honest. IMHO ...

While I have nothing philosophically in common with Ms. Gabbard, any fair-minded person should be outraged that Clinton would refer to her as a Russian asset ...
