Libra might not happen... wow
In the past few days there's been reports that major players are pulling out of the project. I'm sure there's more to the story, but as far as what's being reported, they are simply looking for greener pastures. I give it a year tops, before we find out what's truly going on.

An educated guess would be that the regulatory bodies are telling these companies they need to change their tune. In other words, the idea that they could just jump on the wagon and operate in the gray areas of finance so openly, is probably something that the governments, especially USA would not accept lightly.
If we remember not that long ago, Maxine Waters sent a letter to Zuckerberg telling him to pull the brakes on the whole thing. We had the hearings, lot's of discussions, but in the end I was left with the impression that It was happening anyways.
So, What changed? Well, to put it simply. The government now knows it's losing the battle, and it does not want to go down without putting a good fight. I think this whole shenanigans proves why the paradoxical thought of centralized cryptocurrencies is a non starter.
Simply put my friends... this is why we Bitcoin, this is why we steem... the rest is just noise.

Who knows... Zuckerborg does have the money to override governance.
