P-rice-less
(Edited)
This is another artwork which is part of the less is more exhibition at Museum Voorlinden in the Netherlands. This work is by Ai Weiwei. It looks like two ordinary bowls filled with tiny beads that resemble rice. The bowls are actually about a meter in diameter and they are completely filled with pearls!
In most of Asia rice is a basic or necessary part of every meal. Consequently, it seems to imply the extreme value of something ordinary.
