Redemption (Poem)

Redemption

Redemption came the moment you left me,
when you were the white cloud that escapes the storm
so as not to be swallowed up by the raging rays that flood
the sky and produce misfortunes that are difficult to avoid.

It came because at that moment I realized that love
is not a multiplication of one by one but a simple addition
in which the result depends on both being aligned.
and progressively march in the same direction.

I realized it's more important to give than to receive,
that selfishness is a sword of Damocles that pendulum
about feelings and make them have to be expressed
so that passion germinates in every little detail.

Redemption came the moment you left without saying goodbye.
when you broke the chains that bound us to the custom
and undressed the lack of love that enveloped our bodies.
and the reality of being just two shipwrecked sailboats in the ocean.

Hola @joseph1956, muy intensas y sentidas palabras, se vive la separación al imaginar los botes en el océano cada uno a la deriva, la cruda vida pero escrita con hermosas palabras. Saludos y felicidad siempre
