You think I'd learn - Crisis on the home front

You would think that I'd learn to check on things with having been away from home so often. I usually have a check list; money, bill's paid, ... propane topped up... yeah, oops

Well I may have been a little complacent and I wasn't even away as I would have had this shit locked down. As it is we ran out of propane tonight. We were out buying groceries for @felicenavidad's father and when we got back home we found that the house reaked of rotten eggs. Uh, oh.

Ya, seems the sensor on the tank, that should warn me we are low, malfunctioned. Perfect. -10 no heat, no stove, no hot water. FML.

But, I've camped in the arctic, we have a roof over our heads, we will have some hot food. We'll be fine. Ya, it will get a little chilly... but we have an electric heater, and a Colman stove.

So, I'm cooking in the garage, we have a heater going in the living room and propane should be here in the morning.

Making a squash and currie noodle soup. We've already finished the hot and sour soup.

It's gonna be fine...I suspect it will be freaking cold getting ready for work tomorrow but we'll manage.

We've been here before with that massive power outage during the ice storm a few years ago.

Well wish me luck... water's boiling... off I go.

At least the sunset is nice :-)
