Katherine Wilson Sheppard. By the fame factor she was a warm activist in the favour of gender equality and raised a sound for equal rights of living. Which was on later called her for country's most famous suffragist. Natively she was from Liverpool, England, and moved to New Zealand with all of her family in 1868. Where she become the member of different oragnization and begane her practice as an active member of various religious and social organisations, also including the Woman's Christian Temperance Union(WCTU).Her efforts delighted herself to appointed for the WCTU's National Superintendent seat for Franchise and Legislation. Utilizing the influence of this position she took her to advance level as for the cause of women's suffrage in New Zealand.

She was born in liverpool England. Her parents were from Scotland, father Andrew Willson Malcolm and mother Jemima Crawford souter. They married in inner Hebrides on july 14, 1842. Katherine were five in siblings. She got educated in science and law but prominently known for having strong and broad knowledge and intellectual abilities. Kate married with Walter Allen Sheppard, he was a shopkeeper who later on elected for the local Christchurch city council in 1868, and impressed with kate's strong knowledge about local matters as she willingly involved in fundraising from Congregational Church for the construction of a new building. She raised her friendship with Alfred Saunders, who was also a prominent politician and activist.

Sheppard was a functioning activity holder from different religious associations. She started to encouraged Sunday school system, and due to her participation, in 1884 was being chosen as secretary of the recently established council as Trinity Ladies' Association, that formed a body set up to visit parishioners who did not consistently prepare themselves to go for the faith gatherings.
