Brace Yourselves! Palnet Is Just the Beginning!

Are you holding tight? Is your seat belt on? We are about to take off!

The long talked discussion about takenization of the internet is closer than we think.

We started with Steem, but not the old way, one token - one ecosystem. Right now we are engaged in a major movement of tokenizing the communities, dApps, etc., you name it. Each of them will most likely have a token at some point.

Yeah, I know. It can be mind blowing.

Have you heard of Nitrous? No? Here's the 'big picture':

Big Picture: Your engine needs Nitrous to really blast off! Nitrous is software to create a custom website that looks like Steem, but is built for your community and shows rewards in your Scot (token)!

With Nitrous up and running you have your own version of Steemit.com, but tailored to you! The style is yours, the colors are yours, the logo is yours, and the token rewards that are displayed are yours! The service costs money, but if you do it well you'll make money through token sales, advertising, and new ways to monetize your community.

In between, Palnet.io popped up, based on Nitrous, and seem to have taken most of the Steem community by surprise.

People got or are about to get excited about Palnet (there's always a delayed reaction), but then new updates came up.

The Splinterlands team released their own interface based on Nitrous, called Splintertalk.io, where Splinterlands (a.k.a. Steemmonsters) fans can post about the game and get rewarded in their own token: SPT.

Are you following me? Let's see...

Inside the Splinterlands game there is the token DEC (dark energy crystals), which can be earned in various ways, including by winning ranked games, burning cards you don't need, delegating to @steemmonsters account etc.

On the Splintertalk.io interface there is the SPT token, also linked to Splinterlands, like DEC is, but rewarding content creation (and curation!), not in-game actions. To earn them, you need to add the "SPT" tag in your post, which is included by default if you post via Splintertalk.io.

Splinterlands also has a forum in colaboration with BuildaTeam's TokenBB, which can be found at https://monsters.tokenbb.io/. You can also earn SPT tokens on that forum.

So, there you go. Here are just a few tokens that have been created with a purpose by Aggroed, Matt and the team: PALcoin for PAL discord community and beyond, DEC and SPT for Splinterlands/Steemmonsters.

Thinking how easy it is to create a new standard website based on steemit.com with Nitrous, and the associated SCOT, we will soon have much more websites like that.

Next step... customization

We can't have 100 clones of steemit.com with the only difference of the token and a few parameters. Didn't we say steemit.com looks archaic? It's time to improve it! Clones, lead the way!
