Our Friend The Cleaner

Mohammed Hanif has been working as a cleaner at a housing area called Yishun in Singapore.

He came from Bangladesh when he was only 22 years old.

He has been working in Singapore as a cleaner for 13 years.

Singapore is a multi-racial society where all races are respected and treated equally.

Mohammed Hanif may miss his family but he has made friends with many residents in Singapore.

He has seen many of the kids who grew up into adults after working here for 13 years.

It is great that our children can respect everyone who is contributing to the country in different ways.

Some may think that the job of a cleaner is a lowly job but without our cleaners, many places may be full of rubbish.

It is great to see racial harmony regardless of race or country.
